Walking the Dog

Sherry and I haven’t walked a lot since being back in NC. When we are away we walk at least a couple miles or so every day. In the last couple days we have walked MJ, Mark & family’s dog. Sometimes thru the woods and sometimes up the paved road.

MJ gets a little excited over animals. We jumped a big doe and her fawn and he got excited. She also gets excited over squirrels, a little more excited over rabbits but she goes crazy over cats. She about pulled me into a yard where a bob-tailed black cat was lounging.

We passed this bush, no I don’t know what it is, but I did ask the elderly lady who lived there if I could take a picture of it. It has beautiful blue ball-like flowers on it, as you can see.

Hopefully we will keep up the walks. Walking MJ gives us a reason. We have always been able to walk and talk out our problems or perceived problems.

As we walk on the paved road we pass the beautiful garage apartment Mark is building. I hope by now I have a picture to put on here.

Our church is having what we used to call Vacation Bible School (VBS). They call it something else now. Anyway, Rusty and David are being featured. Rusty is David’s ‘dummy’ (Is that fair?), David is a great ventriloquist. He and Rusty sing a duet and are very good at it.

I love ventriloquists and magicians. I do both myself but I am far from polished as David. He is good at ‘throwing his voice’(as I used to refer to it.). I told Sherry I wish I could understand the monologue, she being observant corrected me, “It is a dialog”.

Hahahahahaha Not with a dummy,” I laughed.

Looking real serious my girl said, “You say WE have a dialogue!”

I think there was a ‘cut’ in that answer somewhere. I B thinking.

Thanks for coming this way,

Do you know that 40% of McDonald's profits come from the sales of Happy Meals?

At least it makes Ronald happy!

Good for you and Sherry getting out and walking MJ. Patches chases squirrels and cats if one comes in the yard. I am afraid if she caught a cat it would scratch her eyes. She just scares them and makes them run and climb the fence to get out of the back yard. That flowering bush is a Hydrangea bush. I have a pink one like that. It is beautiful, full of blooms and buds. Have a nice week this coming week. Helen

Joe walks Spunky 2 times a day if the weather is fit. Joe is doing everything but putting the water pump on. I think he is getting cold feet. He is talking about our mechanic that has a shop close by.

Walking is good for you, BUT not today, its cold, dark, damp, rained early, temp is 52, Hope to be back to walking tomorrow at the YMCA, I doubt I can do my 23 minute mile I worked up to, 2 more days of heavy antibiotics. Glad to be off them as they keep me from getting any sun and they make me dizzy!!
Hopefully will be back to our weekly fishing trips next week.
you 2 take care!

Why do they (who ever they is) always have to change things? Vacation Bible school is a good name and always has been. I had a good walk yesterday driving a cow and calf downt the lane to put them where they should have been.

walking MJ is definitely going to be good exercise for you and her!! sounds like it is quite the adventure too for the three of you. Koda goes on cat patrol, he knows the areas where they are apt to be and he starts searching for them. They are smart though, they know just how short his leash is :)

Ya just gotta be careful what you say to a wife...but then you know that by now! That's funny! "There's No dialog if there's a dummy involved." Huh??? ☺☺☺

It was the first "job" I had, taking dogs for a walk, to earn me a bit of pocketmoney, two decades ago. It was mostly them taking me though. Wishing you all a happy and wonderful start into the new week.

I love walking, but don't have a dog to walk. After sitting too much I do have to move around for awhile. It seems like most of things I like to do are done sitting and I think walking is one of the best ways to get exercise there is. Anyway it is one thing I can still do.
