We all know something is wrong in our country. We just cannot agree on the cure. The Democrats say one thing, and if you are a Republican you say they have no idea what they are saying.
The republicans KNOW what to do, they say, but the Democrats say you are crazy, that cannot work.
Then you have many of us that say neither of you have the answer, we need a third party. Now the Tea Party says everybody is wrong (and they may be right).
Wouldn’t you love to see someone come up who actually said that we all are gonna have to suffer some to bring this back out. And we are. We are also gonna have to get some jobs back into the USA. I read an article by Ken Herron who said we have two plants left in this country making the incandescent bulb.
As you know, the incandescent is doomed by law. It is on it’s way out and the CFL bulb is ordered to replace it. The CFL is made in China none in the USA, so there goes another bunch of jobs. The CFL is cheaper to operate but a little higher in price. The CFL is supposed to last much longer, and probably does. But Ken says there are three pages of gov’t instructions on how to clean up the bulb should it break. I had heard that also. There is enough of mercury I think to kill a man in the bulb if breathed directly into the lungs.
Now it is a good idea to use less energy to light our house, but at what cost. I put the CFL’s in the motor home because of the danger of heat generated by the incandescent bulbs. But why can’t we make them here if they are that good. Does EVERYTHING have to be made in China?
Anyway I am becoming a Libertarian slowly. Yeah I know their views are radical, and they don’t have a chance, but I have been voting for the lesser of two evils for as long as I can remember because I did not want to waste my vote. I might change next time unless I see someone like Perot in the future. Everything he predicted happened, it seems.
Thanks for reading this drivel.

What is needed, is probably a role model kind of figure, same over here.
Please have you all a wonderful weekend.
I'm with you, Jack, does everything have to be made in China? Worst yet, you can't find anything made in the US these days. You are right, we definitely need to bring back the jobs here and keep them here. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next two years when candidates announce themselves running for president; that election should be a very interesting one indeed!
betty
We're with you, too......
Can cats vote..??
Enjoy
I'm with Boomer. Not only cats but can turtles vote. Got lots of them. Not making fun just don't know the answer.
Speaking about keeping jobs in the U.S. I recently requested a free credit report online and I noticed that my birth date was incorrect so I called to bring this to their attention. To my surprised, I was outsourced...I could not understand one word the girl was saying. I kept requesting to be transferred to someone in the United States and I was declined.
Needless to say, I was furious. So TransUnion, Equifax and Experian all are outsourced with our very pertinent information. I'm not comfortable with that. Our driver's license, our social security number, our birthd dates and all the addresses we have ever lived.
We truly need to keep out jobs in our country!
The pictures of the cars are pretty nifty!

I just realized I had some typos in my comment...............oops! Should have checked before clicking on "Submit". Sorry
I try to find things made in the USA. You
still can but you have to search. They had
a special on TV about that. It took them awhile
but managed to furnished a home with furniture
made in the USA. Clothes would be another story.
Wish we could get back to the good ole days.
What a mess you got us into "Ollie".

Jack I agree with everything you said but we need someone better than the tea party. I bet you could think of someone. Love the old cars. Guess what, we are supposed to hit 70 degrees today. Can't wait.
I am with you Jack...but answers I don't have...not even an inkling....but one thing I am going to try my best to do personally tho..I am looking for USA made products etc...and if I don't find what I am looking for...I will use a replacement or do without...I do believe "shopping" is going to be taken to a whole new level LOLOL....hugs from Ora and Him in KY
We definitely need our jobs back in the USA. Hope you and Sherry are staying warm. Take care, Sheila
If we broke off our business with China, we would be at war. Their economy relies on us.
