Hot Zigiddy Dog Zigiddy Boom What…..

WE are back from 7 wonderful days, I  did not put the ‘away message’ on the e-mails so I had 250 to take care of.

Now, If I can remember what I am doing I will get this entry under way. I missed you guys and the interaction (well when I wasn’t other wise occupied with my dream girl). Wow, this girl  I married 55+ years ago is a tiger.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 310

She kept finding men to pose with:

She didn’t leave me out!

CRUISE FOR 7 days 045

Leaving Jack Jr. in charge of the Motor home we drove down to Tampa to board the Carnival Legend.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 252

After getting aboard we had to wait until the staterooms were prepared. If you can imagine, from about 9AM that morning until 3PM every stateroom must be cleaned and prepared. This ship arrived at 7 on Sunday morning discharged it’s passengers and started accepting new passengers by noon. It sails again  at about 5PM. Amazing to me.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 008

Sailing out of Tampa Port Authority we passed some beautiful huge murals painted on fuel tanks.

Sherry’s last phone conversation before the cells are turned off: She is standing on Deck 10.

Boats circling saying good bye. (Part of Tampa skyline),

lead out also by a Coast Guard Cutter.

We really wanted to see the Skyway bridge as we went under, but we were at dinner as we went under.

Entry to our stateroom:

These guys do wonders with towels this was a seal complete with attached eyes.CRUISE FOR 7 days 033

From our Balcony. This is listed as an ‘obstructed view’ balcony. Of course it is cheaper (would I go any other way?) lol. What you are seeing is life boats that hang just below the 5th deck, which we were on.

Below is the bathroom (I was supposed to have taken the picture before I messed it up!!!!)

Our coffee table kept fresh fruit on it.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 053

And WE DID READ a lot. here is proof!!!

CRUISE FOR 7 days 054

WE passed Islands and Ships, Tampa Bay is HUGE!

(Above was taken from our balcony)

Below is the main lobby of the ship. Called the Colossus. You are looking UP here, can you believe that standing figure in the painting is approximately 60 feet high. The white, umbrella looking object at the upper right is the bottom of an elevator on the way down. This is basically the center of the ship and how I kept my bearings inside the skin of the ship.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 034

The rose colored glass at the very top is in the BIG STEAK house, below is the glass from the outside on the 11th or 12th deck.

CRUISE FOR 7 days 043

This is an introduction to the cruise, we enjoyed it tremendously.  We were treated great. There were some ‘exciting times’ at the beginning when the phone rung. I will talk about that next time.

I will say that we traveled further South than we have ever been. Until this trip, Jamaica was the farthest  South we had been.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

PS:

Did I read this sign right?

In a Laundromat:
AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINES: PLEASE REMOVE ALL YOUR CLOTHES WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT.

I love ships, but nothing replaces the automobile:

So glad you had a terrific time. I have not been on a cruise but took care of my daughter's family while they were on a 9 day cruise for their 25th anniversary. They want to go again, they really enjoyed the time together away from their big brood.

Glad you are back and you had a good time. Enjoyed the pictures. You know me Love to see the good times and beautiful scenery but prefer that my feet stay on the ground.

250 e-mail must have taken all day to read them.
Just like a soap opera stay tuned making us wait until next post to hear about the exciting phone call.

Oh WOW!!! So exciting to see the cruise ship embark, Tampa Bay is beautiful and the photos are great, how you must have loved that cabin with the view thru the slider --- can't wait to hear/see more!

Welcome back Sherry and Jack! We missed you!! Loved the picture of Sherry in her purple sweater talking on the phone! She looked like she was meant to spend lots of times on a ship like this! (or is it a boat; I just never know the difference between what is a ship and what is a boat).

Looking at these pictures, it sounds like it was a wonderful cruise! I wouldn't have minded the view either out of your window, especially if it saved a bit of money, I'm sure there were plenty of other places to go and look out at the deep blue sea and enjoy each other's company on this very special trip!

Hoping you guys share more about your adventures!!

again, welcome back!

Glad you made it back and thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures. I'm kind of like Shirl I am afraid of water and a week on it would scare me to death, I think I had rather be on the ground. lol. Will be waiting to see and hear more about your trip. Jean

I thought you had your comments turned off so did not leave any while you were gone. Sounds like you had a great time and of course Sherry hung out with other men. Actually that picture of you and her is very good. Good to have you back. It seems to get really quiet when you 2 are gone. Glad you enjoyed the trip.

It is good to see you are back and great to hear you had such a wonderful time. Having never been on a cruise I can only try to imagine how big that ship must be. I'll be looking forward to hearing about the exciting times you had. I'm sure you both have some wonderful memories.
