Tennessee to North Carolina

Those Gas Stations from the past:

Report of Wednesday’s ride:

We left the park in Jackson Tennessee around 9:30, a little late. The roads looked like this:

We crossed the Tennessee River and the rain started again

When the rain started it lasted until Nashville. I thought of Woody and Anna Mae (Up in NY), the only people I know who played and sang on the “Opry Stage”.

This was the Sky line and buildings of Nashville:

The rains cleared and the country turned to mountains,

The landscape in Tennessee changes from rolling hills to mountains along I-40 After Nashville comes some mountains.

Then hills again but it is tree lined and you only get a glance of farming country with the short tree breaks.

Then to Mountains until the NC state line. Today was a short day; we stopped at the Bean Pot Campground in Crossville.  We have over 100 miles left in Tennessee back to Knoxville where we turned North a few weeks ago.

I have always heard that Nashville was a fun place to visit. My parents are heading to Tennessee some time this month but can’t remember the destination. It’s a place I never heard of.
Your trip is almost over. Slow down and enjoy.

You're home by now, as I'm writing late. I've enjoyed every mile. So where to next? or are you ready for a respite at home. Whatever, be safe and healthy. Because of your photos and dialogue I have seen bits of several states I would never have seen. Thank You.
loven'hugs from up north WI where I still love the old gas stations and cars. Thanks for those also.
