Breakfast with Frances

Fred's birthday 002

I just threw these pictures in of Frances’s ‘mater plants (Fred’s too, I guess,Open-mouthed smile) They are HEALTHY!

Now Breakfast!

We had another wonderful time of friendly smiles, jokes and fellowship with Frances.  Of course she brought Fred along since it was his BirthdaySurprised smile. Rebecca and James, grandkids of Fred & Frances ate with us. James is active duty Army stationed in NY.

We left Denny's and regrouped at Fred & Frances’ house where to my surprise Stephen Brannen showed up with his family. Stephen is a Professional musician out of the Air Force Academy in Denver. Everyone is proud of Stephen and his accomplishments.

Fred's birthday 003

Above is Stephen and his Dad, Lowell (Fred’s Bro)

below is Steve’s mom (Left) then his family and my sweetheart Frances)

Fred's birthday 004

Boy did he ever entertain the group. Of course I could not understand the words to songs but I could watch his fingers move like lightening and magic over the strings and frets. Fred brought out a banjo, and he played a fire eating song just with his fingers on the strings and none on the frets.

He played and the family sang his song, “I love My Family”. It appeared to be super and Sherry said it was.

Lowell, Stephen’s dad was there also and he played too. Fred himself is a good musician but presently he is bothered with neuropathy, and has a problem with his fingers.  We had a great time. Stephen brought his beautiful wife and two lovely daughters also. Stephen’s mother looks like she could be his sister, also a lovely lady.

What a rewarding day to get to see Stephen, he travels a lot promoting the USAF in music, he is a great ambassador for the Air Force.

The Brannens never cease to amaze me, this is a talented bunch, but most of all good loveable folk.  Of course I offered some pointers to Stephen, I was amazed how fast he caught on!Winking smile

We have had rain showers and rain most of the time here in the boonies and did not venture to Coker Creek to see Jack Darnell.

Thanks for coming this way.

PS:

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
(Why did you just try singing the two songs above?)

You all are definitely not letting the rain there get you down. How wonderful that all those family and friends gathered to have such a great time. Happy Birthday to your good friend Fred. It must have been something to have all those dear ones around. Sunny here yet but hopefully getting some much needed rain tomorrow. We'll see...
