Another Marriage another beautiful Grand-Daughter in law.. We call her Jennifer!

Our little family is growing. Just this past year we were blessed with Megan marrying Joshua. She is a sweet lady.

Now Stephen (Josh’s twin) is FINALLY bringing the  sweet Jennifer into the clan.  We have known Jenn longer than Megan and have known that the marriage was going to happen because they are so much in love.  Well, it will happen on Valentine’s day  and how very appropriate for the love birds.

Jenn e-mailed to tell us that it will be a small private ceremony, she understands we are in Florida, but that we are certainly welcome and they would love to have us present.  We know that!

But you know what?  The most important folks at any wedding are the Bride and Groom, the rest are decorations.  It has been 57 years but I remember that evening very well, some of my best friends were there, but the most important person there was SHERRY!

So this is not about Sherry and I, Josh and Megan or anyone else, except JENNIFER AND STEPHEN and that they want. I know Son Jack is proud, he introduced Jennifer (whom he met at Books a Million I believe) to his son Stephen while Stephen was attending Mars Hill College. Jack says he remembers Jenn asking when she could meet Steve, and he telling her, If I introduce you guys you will fall in love and it might be my fault (or something like that).

(Soon I think Grandpa, soon!  and now a few months later it is now soon, just a joke, I never bug anyone to get married)

They met, they did fall for each other and are deeply in love. I would like to attend the wedding, well really, I am not a wedding type guy, but I do like to see happy love birds. We will see them when we get home, and take them out to dinner to celebrate.

We are so proud of them. I have mentioned it before, Jennifer is a nurse.  She is a real nurse, she exudes compassion and caring.  it is the perfect profession for her.

Above all, our desire is for them to  remain in love, remembering always why they wanted to get married and be true to each other forever.

Happy Dad, Jack Jr. with his NC family

Our best to the family’s newest couple, and especially to the newest member of our little clan, the lovely Jennifer.

Thanks for letting me brag instead of gripe.

PS:

Marriages last when the two remember WHY they married in the first place.

Well glad to see Steve and Jennifer.
I sure it will be a happy occasion.
They are great boys and very talented.

My 92 Roadmaster Buick looks good.

Looking forward to seeing them after the private ceremony which is a great idea. The weddings can get to big and cost lots of money. They are very smart. Best Wishes to both..

Congrats to the couple! They make a great looking couple! I think its neat they are keeping it small and simple; good idea to celebrate with them after you return home; they'll enjoy that for sure! Many wishes for them to have a long happy life together like you and Sherry!

Isn't it wonderful to see a couple like that so much in love. A Valentine wedding is very special. I agree it's all about them on their wedding day. Good to see your family growing. Congrats to this wonderful couple and best wishes for a long and happy life together !

What a wonderful wedding and you are so right - you need the bride and groom. The minister. The witnesses. And God too!

You will see them at the reception!

Have fun.
