I have known several folk in my life that seemed to think that the the entire world revolved around them.
I have thought about it since. That is very important, our self esteem and what we think of ourselves. We should know that we are unique. There is no one like you in the world. At the same time we should have the common sense to know that everyone else is also unique.
So I came to this earth shaking realization, WE REALLY ARE THE CENTER OF OUR UNIVERSE, OUR WORLD DOES REVOLVE AROUND US.
I will repeat that. “We are the center of OUR universe; OUR world, as we know it, does revolve AROUND US!
Now the problem comes when one forgets that everyone else is in the same situation. SO you are not the center of anyone else’s world, just yours. Those folk I mentioned in the beginning of this tirade, thought my world and that of our peers, also revolved around them, that is a different ball of wax, and a big mistake.
So yes, we are unique and each of us lives in our own world. No one knows your inner most thoughts. Your world is yours; built from your life of memories, loves, hates, prides and foolishness's.
It is all right to like or love someone, but you will NEVER thru normal routine, rule another’s world.
Remember the little boy in school who was made to stand in the corner. The teacher asked if he had learned anything, he said, “In my mind I was still running in the hall.”
Or the famous line by Beulah when her boy friend said, “Honey, I knows you like a book!”
She smiled and retorted. “Sweetheart, I got pages you ain’t never read.”
So when one is tempted to think they are the center of a universe, they should remember that it is their own universe, not someone another's.
You are a VIP, very unique in this world, so unique you are the ONE. Enjoy that, and let everyone else do the same.

PS: I thought my name was unique, but it is not. As I have said I met the other Jack Darnell, a great guy. And believe me he has his own world.

It is a great post I'll 2nd that for sure. We are all unique. We are all precious in His sight.
I need to get back to you more often, between this one and the one below it makes me laugh. You and Sherry and Shirl and Sheila and Jean, well heck all of you are the best support system I can have.
Yes we are all unique and doesn't that make life fun? I remember in high school my daughter, Lynda, had a tee shirt that read I'm Unique.

I suppose it's an interesting way to look at yourself. Fascinating, for sure.
I've always had the opinion we do believe it is all about us, secret is trying to live like it is all about Jesus! I'm glad he created us unique, just wish we didn't have all that "ego" and "self" in us at times :)
