(Disney egg)
We eat out 2-4 times a week. 2 breakfasts and 2 lunch or dinner usually. I dread to order so I will usually look for something that I am sure there can be no questions about. Sometimes I even point to a picture. Then the Questions begin. I have to look at Sherry and most of the time she will answer for me.
I started this because we ate at Denny’s the other morning. I love Denny’s pancakes, I remember the Original Grand Slam, I liked it, it was $2.99. Now I order the same thing and it will invariably be about $20 for two, including the $1.75-$2.50 coffee. I forget to state how I want my eggs, so I say ‘what ever she said’, and point to my sweetheart.
How many menus does a restaurant need? We have eaten at places that had up to 5 menus. It is done to confuse old folk. I am going to take note from now on to see if they give young folk 5 menus.
Many times Sherry will order and I will say, I’ll take what she ordered. AND I STILL GET ASKED QUESTIONS!
I don’t care if I point to a picture and say I want this. Without fail I will have to answer at least one question.
One of these days I am going to say, “Surprise me!”
I know according to most physicians I should not eat eggs because I have high cholesterol. I seldom do eat them, but I love eggs. I usually eat them with a fork, I never saw the need to use a knife to cut them up, for some reason. I like them anyway they are served, from raw to boiled, I love the taste of them. I prefer sunny side up.(My daddy was once asked how he liked his eggs, and he said, I like them!)
I like them with gravy.
I like them scrambled with cheese.
I love an omelet, presently I get a veggie omelet if I have one.
I did read the other day that I should have at least 2 eggs a week.(I wish they had said 2 doz)
I think I told you this, I came back from a cruise once and mama asked what I wanted to eat and I said 3 doz eggs. I stopped her at 2 doz, I had enough. They had powdered eggs on the ship. They aren’t bad if you use a bottle of ketchup.
Do you like eggs? Omelets?
Nite Shipslog
PS:
Mama taught me to gather eggs at 5yrs old. I don’t think Shirl liked messing with the chickens except to feed them.
I like Easter eggs too!

Yes, I like fried eggs done and turned over. Not to crazy about omelets.
Eggs are good and like you I like them just about anyway you can serve them...Strange that I don't have them more often. They are good for breakfast lunch and dinner too. A good egg salad sandwich sounds pretty good to me. Thanks for your mention of eggs, I think that is definitely on the menu today. I'll make enough for a day or three. Cold and snowy morning here and I'm staying in the church will have to get along without me today. I'm sure they will. Those brave souls venturing out in this weather are much better folk than me for sure. Hope you all have your Sunday breakfast and enjoy your eggs.
I love fried eggs. I love to dunk but I don't want to see the white part running!
I sometimes make them for dinner when I run out of ideas of what to cook!
Hugs to my favorite couple!
I eat eggs, but I don't love eggs. You don't eat raw eggs for real do you? And I know what you mean by all those menu's - sheesh! You know you can eat as many egg whites as you want.
sandie
I'm like Sandie, I eat them but I don't love them. I have the habit of answering for John too. It is so much faster that way as the waitress usually doesn't understand he is hard of hearing and I usually know what he wants. If I eat eggs I want them well done with ketchup or picante on top.
I like my eggs scrambled with cheese and Italian seasoning.
Oh no!! The Grand Slam isn't $2.99 any more? I haven't eaten in Denny's in a while, but I do remember getting that...and the price was wonderful.
I asked my Grandson what he wanted for breakfast this morning (he spent the night with us) and I wanted to cook him something warm before going to church this morning. I fried him some bacon. He said, "Egg, Nana."
I said, "OK. Egg. How do you want it cooked?
He said, "Boiled."
I smile as I type that because how many 5-year-olds want a boiled egg for breakfast?
Guess what he got.
Yep. Nana boiled eggs and he enjoyed two of them with his bacon.
Love your photos of the eggs.
Warm hugs to you,
Jackie
I love eggs but will not eat them
because of cholesterol. You know
that is why we lost lots of
family...I eat egg beaters and they
are not bad. Something else will
probably take me out of this World and I worry about eggs. We hear
something everyday what is bad for
us.. I think I will just start
eating fruit.
I have a sneaking suspicions that the folks requiring a limit of 2 eggs per week just don't have the full info.
When I was a kid, I didn't like scrambled eggs--probably because I was such a sleepy head that when I got to the breakfast table they were cold. I like them a lot more now.
My son had a Christmas party with a church youth group, and I made a pine cone shaped cheese ball for him to take. At the last minute, I made a small plate full of deviled eggs. My son brought most of the cheese ball back home, but he said the deviled eggs were gone within ten minutes!

I'd be soooo sad if I had to give up eggs ... love 'em! Before meeting hubby, I only ate them scrambled or in omelets ...one of the FEW things I cook! Of late, I like them best fried or over-easy. I suspect the over-easy part I enjoy more for the challenge, not breaking the yolk! Food is FUN!
I do like eggs and I eat probably more eggs than I should. It would be nice if they could devise a system that would make order taking a lot simpler for people who have hearing difficulties to allow them the dignity of not having a lot of questions asked them if they can't hear sufficiently to answer them. I did read somewhere that Chili's restaurants at some places were having people order through an iPad that was at the table; that would make things easier perhaps.
Now I want some pancakes!

My egg "memory" is of Mom sending me to the chicken house for eggs, she wanted to make cookies. There weren't any in the nests, however one old hen was all fluffed up and I figured she must have a whole lot of eggs under her, nope, she was getting ready to lay. When I saw the egg come out it was liquid like and where it came from made me gag. It was the quickest trip I ever made from the chicken house to the kitchen, omg! "Mama, do you KNOW where those eggs com??? For years I wouldn't eat eggs, nor ice cream we made in the old churn if it had raw eggs in the mix that goes in the freezer part surrounded by ice. To this day, they're not on my plate unless they're fried, as I'd tell Mama, "hard as the floor". None of that squishy stuff for me! Do like a scramble that has sausage fried separately, sauted onion, mushrooms, green peppers, a little scrambled eggs & is topped with cheddar & served with rye toast. There's a restaurant on the coast where I lived and the menu to this day features the Glenda Scramble". Saw a review just recently and someone had commented that was it their favorite dish at Mary's Gourmet Kitchen....My egg story and I'm stickin' to it!!!
hee hee....
Yes, «Louis» likes eggs and he likes pancakes and he likes waffles. But what he likes most of all is chicken fried steak, buttermilk biscuits and cream gravy!
REAL chicken fried steak, REAL buttermilk biscuits, and REAL cream gravy - not that frozen food service junk or that horrid "gravy" that comes from a can!
I love eggs
From my head
down to my legs
Scrambled or fried
with my family
or the guys
I love eggs
