November 6th the most important day !

Automobile’s of Art:
1937 was a very good year for births  for beautiful women and Fords this is a '37 Ford convertible. The beautiful woman is below!

The here and now:

This is amazing to me. My sweetie’s birthday is important to me. First because I love that girl to pieces! Second I forgot it once and it was not pretty!  That said.  We are excited about her birthday, but I am shocked that the president and most politicians are constantly reminding me: Remember November 6th, one of the most important days of your life!

It is amazing they are so interested. I have not invited a one of them to the Red Lobster to dine with us. So why would they constantly remind me of November 6! They probably heard what happened the year I forgot it, and don’t want that to happen ever again to me.  Thanks Prez and the rest of you guys, but I ain’t about to forget that day. I got big plans. First is not to forget it.

WE are getting ‘up in age’ as the old folk used to say. She has reached the 80 mark (last year) and I am just behind. But I remember being 16 and asking a beautiful 17 year old girl for a date. I wanted to date this girl in the BIGGEST way but I was afraid she would say, “No!’ or ”I don’t think so.” Or “Are you out of your mind?” or simply “Get lost!”

You see, I knew three guys she had dated at least once and they were older, taller and good looking. It gives a kid time to ‘pause and think.’
 But she said, “Yes.”
I make no secret of it. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. She has loved me thru several absolute 180 degree turns in my search for ‘that’ job or occupation. She supported each one. Once she supported us for up to 2-3 months while I looked for ‘that’ job.
She knew I wanted to build houses. So one day on a walk she asked if I could build us a house and get us out of debt. (We owed a whopping $20K on a nice home.) Of course I said ‘yes.’
Long story short. Within 3 years she never made another house payment. It took that faith in me and with her belief and encouragement, I built us a home. Using the profit from the sale of the house she wanted to pay off, I began to build. In my early 40’s I finally found ‘that job’. I studied, worked and became a licensed General contractor. She continued to work and made it easy on me with her health insurance.
(The picture I carried with me half way around the world and back! Hey Jean, you and Paula remember the hair-do?)

She is not only the best wife in the world, but my best friend, lover (yes still is) and traveling companion anyone could dream or ask for.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRY! You are the BEST there is, in every respect!

HAPPY Birthday, Sherry! Wow, exquisite then … and still!
Oh ya, I well remember those hairstyles. I hadn't enough 'natural' hair, so kept several wigs; and even had them professionally styled. (One of those "What on earth was I thinking?" times.)

I hope members of the media don't catch wind of this day's importance and try to crash your dinner! Two's company, but more's just rude! (LOL)
