Dental Bridge

 Memorable Automobiles from The Past:

At this time of my blog, I scan thru hundreds of car pics until one talks to me (?) This one brings back a bad memory the first death that shocked me, a 17 yr old cousin lost his life in a single car wreck in one of these, I was probably 10.

For today:

I think I heard one of my sons say today, at your age I would not be getting a Bridge. Of course I have refused some dental work because of my age. When the lady in NC said I needed 100s of dollars of 'cosmetic' work done on my mouth I told her I was too old for that and my family would appreciate the money when I was gone.  LOL

I have thought of that statement lately. I have noticed we do not appreciate things as much if we did not work for them.  That is NOT always correct, but in many cases it is.

I also get the idea I have lived too long, even though I am still pretty self-sufficient. I solved a couple major problems on the motor home after parking here.

I have one more battle. I have got to replace the shower valves here, and I dread it. ;-),  not really, it keeps ,e busy.

Heading off for bridge work, report later. This bridge work stuff is wearing me out.

BTW our contractor did show up and spread the crushed concrete to complete his contract.  The concrete slab is good and very professional. However son Mark, who knows concrete and construction, told the crew they needed to do some back fill and take the forms with them.  If he had not did that, I would have been much less satisfied.

I thought I had posted this, since I have not This is an UPDATE: (A dry socket is why I was enjoying things so much!)

Just back, Dentist said pain was dry-socket. I am not sure but I think he thought I was on some anti-biotic. He might have asked me if I wanted pain meds or not. I do not remember or know. LOL

Anyway he sure enjoyed treating the dry socket, methinks. So no impression was made, and I am rescheduled for 2 weeks. I hate for this to end, it is so much fun. LOL

At least you have your sense of humor Jack! Good thing Mark was there to catch the work needed to complete the concrete work correctly. I bet as soon as that dry socket issue works itself out you will be back to your usual self. We all want you and Sherry around so no you have not lived long enough. You have more living to do!

Yes, thank goodness your Mark was there to ensure the contractors followed through.
So sorry that dry socket issue refuses to lay down and keep quiet! I'm overdue for dental care myself, but keep putting things off. I remember something my mother said to her dentist on the eve of her 80th birthday: At MY age, why would I want to spend my daughter's inheritance on gold fillings? (Something like that, anyway.) She didn't say,
"Shame on you!" but probably insinuated the same.

My Mom passed at age 94 and I didn't think she had lived long enough so you have a ways to go my friend! I'm so sorry about the dry socket. Once it's packed usually the pain goes away. Anyway, I'm glad your concrete work is done and doing good! Take care and don't get any crazy ideas about having lived too long! I would miss you!

It will be so nice to have all that done and over with. It normally wouldn't have taken so long, but we never know what will happen next. It would be very wearing on anyone. It sounds like you are keeping busy though and the time will pass soon enough. Take care and try to enjoy each day as it comes.

I know how miserable dry socket is....so my prayers that you feel ' more better ' soon. So nice the slab turned out so nice. It looks great. Mark told um and they listened....glad you're happy too. Hugs to sweet Sherry and yourself as you heal.
loven'hugs from way up north where we woke to another blanket of brilliant white snow on everything. It was pretty but glad it melted by noon. We'll help Andy and the boys cook off his sap tomorrow so pancakes and maple syrup for supper....can't wait.
