(I have been very busy today, I cut a phone line and spent most of the morning splicing it back, it was buried 2 inches under ground, ouch!)

No, No, No! I am not anti woman. I am very liberal where women are concerned. I think a woman deserves equal pay for equal work. I think she deserves a shot at the top as much as a man. My Blog yesterday was mainly to point out that a man will give a woman a little leeway, as a worker or a boss, on the other hand I have found that Girls are pretty rough on girls. I have heard more women say (after a report of a rape), “She was asking for it, did you see how she was dressed?” Now I am honest when I say, I have heard women say just that. I have heard it from ignorant men also, just less times.

My answer (and I do speak up in a case like that): I don’t care if the woman was topless and doing a shimmy whatever, or making tassels spin, NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO TOUCH HER, UNLESS SHE AGREES! I usually say that, and mean it!

Also another of my pet peeves, if I leave my keys in my car, NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO TAKE IT! I am not the criminal, the thief is the criminal. Okay before I get shot, I do take my keys out and lock my car now. But it still does not change my mind!

Hey, yesterday we went to visit my niece in law, Peggy. She was scheduled for Gall bladder surgery at 10 AM. We were tied up at an appointment so we dropped by later. Of course I was carrying a $1000 flower, a box of candy and a Get well card. Okay, I had a card. We parked in the parking deck, went to an information booth asked for Peggy, “She is no longer with us!”
“WHAT? You don’t die from gall bladder surgery! Besides she is too mean to die from a little cutting!” Sherry and Shirl (the two S’s) are crying and bawling, creating a scene, absolutely embarrassing.
“You misunderstand, Mr. Darnell, she has been released!”
“You didn’t surgery her? You didn’t cut and pull stuff out and sew her back up with scissors or a hammer inside or something?”
“Oh, Sir, the operation was a success; she was released to the custody of her husband?”
“YOU DID WHAT? Nobody trusts him, Lord she is in trouble.” (the two S’s started crying again!)
So Peggy was not at the hospital, the only thing we knew to do was go to a Mexican Restaurant and celebrate, so we did.
They live way out in Plumbnelly, we will have to arrange a visit by mule now. This was a chance to catch them in the city (And to see Peggy without make-up or jewelry, a sight to behold I am sure).

Are you in trouble again Jack? Hee hee...are you upsetting the woman-folk? Actually I couldn't agree with you more about SOME women (so I don't get lynched, I say SOME)...I usually prefer the company of men because there is much less drama and cattiness - again, that's my opinion just based on my own experience. Now, I do have some women friends, but they are far from drama queens and we all have the same viewpoint. In the workplace, I have had male and female bosses and the female bosses, at least the ones I worked for, were just bitchy and unpleasant. I've read that women tend to be that way as bosses because they feel they have more to prove. For whatever reason...that's my 2 cents! :)

I was just funing with you on that last entry Jack. I fully agreed with you on those things you said about women. Some (Not all)could be a pill to work for and work with. Helen

During the years working as an employee it were mostly women who were the better "bosses".

Interesting to read the names of cities over
there. Glad that all went well with the operation, hope you enjoyed also the meal. Please have you two a wonderful Thursday.

they sure don't keep people in the hospital very long after surgery these days, I remember when it was "routine" to stay in there for at least a week after a major operation.

And I agree with you about the rights of a woman as far as her body. We need to drop that mentality that she "deserved" it because of where she was or what she was wearing. A young teen got killed here last week after out running in a remote area. My first thought was "she shouldn't have been out there alone" but you know what, she should have been. Why should she have been prevented from doing something she enjoyed doing just because of some sicko?? Oh well, unfortunately for the present time, we live in a fallen world :(

If I caught someone stealing my car I would shoot him! I hate thieves!

I'm looking forward to reading those two shortest "books". Funny post, Jack!

JACK, I LIKE THE PHOTO OF THE 'CONSTITUTION', REMEMBERING STUDYING ABOUT IT DURING GRADE SCHOOL HISTORY AND ALSO THE 'MEREMAC'. I BELIEVE IT WAS USED IN THE WAR OF 1812.
IT IS SO SHAMEFUL FOR SOME POLITICIANS TO TRY TO CHANGE HISTORY BOOKS AND ELIMINATE IMPORTANT FACTS.

I HOPE THERE ARE LEFT COPIES OF THE OLD HISTORY BOOKS OF MY GRADE SCHOOL DAYS SO THE REAL HISTORY CAN BE BROUGHT BACK TO SCHOOLS.

PERHAPS THE INTERNET WILL HELP TO BRING BACK TRUE AMERICAN HISTORY. sam

Gives me the shivers to realize how some of our English words can convey two diametrically opposed ideas! Like when I told a friend who saw me sitting alone at Wal-mart who asked about Frances, "She's left me!" and he started blurting out big apologies. Funnnnnnn. I said, "Yep, does that everytime I bring her down here." Take that trip out to Plumbnelly and give the girl that check!
