We have had a good week with son #2, Mark. Of course we would have been happier if we had caught fish. My excuse is, Sherry called down here to ask about camper space, and I said how is the fishing. The lady on this end said good. Then a second later told Sherry ‘If you hold you mouth right’. I know that saying is/was used a lot down south, don’t’ know about the rest of the country.
So evidently we didn't hold our mouth right.
But we have had some good talks. That was the main reason for the trip, just to have some family time.
Sunday we attended a country church and heard a country preacher (at least Sherry & Mark did, I just sat there as usual).
We visit a lot of churches in our mobile life style. Today we encountered one of my continual frustrations. Which door is the main door to the sanctuary? There were 4 ext. doors including two sets of double doors, that narrowed it down to one of two doors. Fortunately after a few minutes of indecision, some regulars came, and we followed them in.
(A spot of water looked like silver on the lily pad)
Of course the folks were very friendly, country churches are like that.
Following church we headed via, GPS to a flea market. 20 miles later we pulled up into an empty lot with a foreclosed sign on it, NO FLEA mkt.
Mark was needing a roofing gun, so we headed back to the camper and decided to stop at a small indoor flea mkt. He found exactly what he was looking for.
I also bought me an electric weed trimmer, I am tired of the gasoline ones.
OH yes we had something unique in the park. two sink holes formed on the volley ball court! Wonder how they get so round?
Now we are back in Belmont in
Shirl’s RV park. She came out to greet us with fruit from her garden.
(Shirl and Sherry (the two s’s) catching up on what was missed)

PS:
This is where Sherry took me, wow:
Then to the court house down town Valdosta, Georgia!
Will Rogers, who died in a 1935 plane crash, was one of thegreatest political sages this country has ever known.
Enjoy the following:

Remember the BIG Caddy’s of the 1950’s?

Well Sherry you and I look pretty good. Glad
to have you back but sorry we are going to have
hot weather.
You didn't catch any fish because it was to
hot for them to come out of the water. Thank goodness we can always go and be served
fish.

I'm back up North, Just got home this evening. It's almost as hot and humid here as it was way down south. I don't think it's supposed to stay this way too long but I was looking forward to some cool breezes here. The heat and humidity down south made me glad I was just there for a visit. Of course when winter time comes it will be a different story. Sorry the fishing wasn't good for you but I know you enjoyed the trip anyway.
Bet Shirl and Sherry couldn't wait to visit and catch up. Sisters-in-law can be so nice.
Fish or no fish, you and your son were the handsomest guys in the boat! And that Sherry, still taking you down 'lover's lane.' You must be doing something right! I would have loved to hear Will Rogers speak. Can you even imagine what he'd have to say today! lol
'love & hugs from afar'
I had the best fish last night. Straight from the Schwan mans truck. Even had a packet of seasoning in it. Did not have the heart to turn the oven on so fixed it in a skillet. Glad you had some family time.
