I don’t see a lot of news, mostly what I read on headlines when shopping or headlines here on the internet. But today I was drawn to the planned execution of an illegal in Texas who was found guilty of a terrible crime and sentenced to death. Now the Federal Government says it is against international law to execute him.
A man is sentenced for killing an American citizen but we cannot apply our laws to him? Is something wrong with the picture?
Georgia passed a law that law enforcement can ask for identification to see if a person is illegally in this country. Illegals, I mean ‘illegals’ stopped traffic, even sat down in the road, protesting such a ridiculous law. Illegals interviewed said, “We have earned the right to be here! How?”
What makes me so upset is that I cannot see any improvement in the future. I am frustrated that both Parties have allowed this to happen. Neither party, Democrats or Republicans have secured our borders, then in the last couple years have chastised states for wanting to enforce the law that the federal will not.
I just get confused. Is it politically correct we are trying to be? Is it Liberal we are shooting for? Is it votes we are trying to get? Are we really that sympathetic that we will invite guests in that we cannot afford to feed? And will in doing so let someone who is a citizen, go hungry because of it?
I’m sorry, I did not mean to make this a political blog, that headline just ticked me off. It’s okay to execute an American citizen, but not one who broke the law to get here but then killed one of our citizens after he got here.
Weird… and I am confused.. Thanks for coming this way.

GOOD SAMARITAN
A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan. She asked the class, "If you saw a person lying on the roadside, all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?" A thoughtful little girl broke the silence, "I think I'd throw up.."
Someone spent $170,000 on a milk truck for this go anywhere vehicle. Land or sea!

what a cute milk truck!! But wow on the money spent to make it!
I'm with you Jack; I agree with what you said totally. If they are in our country, no matter who, if you commit a crime, do the time or take the punishment or whatever, no matter if you are here illegal or not. It is almost like giving illegals permission to kill citizens of a country because the law doesn't apply to them?? makes no sense!!!
betty
I was throughly upset and not confused when I heard about that illigal. Last night on the news I thought they said they were going to go ahead with the execution but I haven't heard any news today. Just disgusting.
Yes they executed him. There are so many mixed messages in politics and the republican and Democrats are not doing anything to work together. They are showing fruit growers with fruit rotting and those owners are begging for illegals to stay. I have said time and time again, I am glad I am living my life now cause I think everything is going to get worse.
I hear ya Jack...I get confused with that too....
By the way...I have no clue if the babies were boys or girls!!...2 each maybe??

We live in great Country and I am proud to be
an American, but somethings like this is hard
to understand. So many things are up-side down.
Getting money like they were born here. Come on
over you will have no problem geting on free
programs. I guess I had better get off my
soap-box before I hurt someones feelings.

If we would actually use our resources to protect our borders instead of allowing the military industrial complex to convince us that making them rich is what keeps "communists" at bay, we would have all the resources we need for all our legally born citizens.
Texas ignored the White House and executed him anyway. Just before he was executed (he had said he was innocent) he apologized to the family of the girl for raping and killing her. I firmly believe the politicians just want the illegals votes and believe me, they vote, illegally!
Jack, if you didn't hit the nail on the head I don't believe it can be hit. It's so frustrating to me to try to understand our attitude about the application of the law anymore. Probably the best place to start looking is at the root of the problem. What was that saying? "The love of money is the root of all evil." It's good that you always add a joke (or something else light-hearted and un-related) at the end of this type blog - that way I don't explode.
That doesn't make any sense to me either. Well, if that is the case then why even arrest them to begin with? What the heck, just let anyone come over here, commit crimes, and not be prosecuted because our laws don't apply to them.
