Time to head home. We have taken three weeks here in the mountains of North Carolina for Sherry to recoop. Finally in the last few days she feels relief, and that the arm is healing. We have ate good and lay around a lot. Mary Ann, our friend who lives here in the park has been back for the last week, that has been fun.
She is a happy person. You would never know that she suffers from a few physical ailments that cause nearly constant pain. We have laughed more than I can remember. Talking about the past, and folks we know.
She ate with us twice and fixed us a banana pudding. That sweet thang bought our lunch Tuesday at Meedo’s here in Lenoir. A great Italian place.
Sherry has been able to relax now without the pressure of hometown.
Now that she feels better I think she can handle it better.
So today is a short drive, back to our pad and storage building and preparations for the big Yard Sale.
Shooting for the 16th or 23rd of June.
Sooooo, my next entry should be from Belmont, NC.
Thanks for coming by the log.

Baby's First Doctor Visit
This made me laugh out loud.
I hope it will give you a smile!
A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the
Doctor to come in for the baby's first exam.
The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed.
'Breast-fed, ' she replied..
' Well, strip down to your waist,' the doctor ordered.
She did. He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination.
Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, 'No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk.'
‘I know,' she said, 'I'm his Grandma,
But I'm glad I came.’
Just thought you should……

Glad Sherry is feeling some relief. Sounds like it's been a painful experience.
God bless.
Glad to hear that Sherry is doing so well. Have a safe trip back to your pad...Hope you are rested up that sale sounds like it may be a lot of work.
The news on Sherry is sounding good. Good luck with the garage sale. In San Antonio we always had fun with our's. I had the perfect place to hold one on a busy street and a carport and big tree to have it under. We )friends and my brother) made it a social event.
Happy to hear Sherry's arm is feeling better. Have a safe trip home and have a good yard sale. Jack you will have to do most of the work because Sherry needs to take care of that arm.
GLAD the recovery has gone well and that Sherry is feeling better. Broken arms tak some time to heal. Afterwards they may ache for a while. Hope that Garage Sale goes well. They always seem like alot of work for such a little return. So I usually just donate. TAKE Care.
Next time your in the mountains...come see us at the Park!! Good to hear that Sherry is doing so well..
Enjoy
Glad Sherry is feeling better and hope she doesn't have to wear the cast much longer. I like that about the grandma getting a breast exam. Lol. Take care. Jean
A safe road ahead for you all and a good Thursday as well.
(Thank you very much for your mail, I shall keep that line in mind.)
Glad Sherry is feeling better. And that you had a good time there and you are heading home. Home is a good place. sandie

Safe travels...
Good you are back home and Sherry
is getting better. The healing
takes longer than I remember.
We all need to take it easy and
rest more. I vote yes when we
get ready to vote.
Awww, Sweet Sherry is looking good with her pink cast and feeling stronger. Glad you had some laughs with Mary Ann, too. You two take it slow getting the garage sale ready. It's a heap of work. Us, Mel and Slimmer are headed to the fishin' holes in MN. for a while. Will catch up when we return next weekend. Bill told Slim he had to see if he could get off work and had to ask his new boss if he could go. I said, only if I get to come along. We haven't done this for 16 yrs. It's time... Safe travels, and

LOL with the baby joke! I didn't see that one coming ;)
Glad the time for R%R and healing was a good one and that Sherry feels on the mend! Safe travels home!! Will be interested to hear how the sale goes when you hold it!
betty
Glad Sherry is on the mend and feels well enough to go home and prepare for the upcoming yard sale. Even if you don't make a bundle I hope you enjoy watching others leave happily with their new treasure's. Now you've made me hungry for banana pudding something I haven't made in a long time. Love ya!
«Louis» is happy to read that Sherry's arm is healing nicely.
That Packard "woody" is one fine machine! It was built on the "120" platform, the Junior series of Packard. If memory serves, the "woodys" were built by the Henney coach builders who also built the Packard ambulances - which brings up a bit of trivia:
Q: What kind of car did Henry Ford take his last ride in?
A: A Packard. A Packard hearse.
Glad Sherry is on the mend.
I don't have to tell you to take good care of her because I know you will.
Huggggggggggggggggs, Rose
I am so very glad Sherry is doing better.
