Vacation is over

I know, you all think we are on an eternal vacation, really we are, but we still call these mini-trips vacations, to make us feel better. Ha!

So we took our walk early yesterday.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 004

Then came back to watch the squirrel that finally found the feeder I made.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 005

And of course he watched me.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 006

We decided to drive into Mocksville and eat at McDonalds to celebrate the end of Vacation. Then took another trip by the Boone’s burial site.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 009

This is of course an ancient grave yard and someone had used calk to try to bring out the writing on some stones here. That is the senior Boones stones in the back ground.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 010

As you can tell, even up close they are very hard to read. They were both 77 yrs old.

LASTDAY OF VACATION 011

From the pictures you can see the grass need to be cut and the place needs some TLC.  As we were leaving I told Sherry. “These were famous people and you see how their graves are kept up, can you imagine ours?”  And we had a good laugh.

So back to the Camp Ground. to tear down and hook up.

Little Fit is hooked and ready for the road, our favorite part of life, the road. This time back to home base for a few weeks.

Preparing the Steak using Ma’s help and the net. Gonna be a good supper.

Thanks for stopping by the log.

The cemetary looks interesting. I'm surprised they don't have a cemetary association. Most of them around here have one who meets at least once a year and people pay a resaonable dues which takes care of the mowing and edging etc.

Love old cemeteries. We visit our final resting place frequently. It's well maintained so that gives us comfort.

I also feed the squirrels they
have to eat and are God's creatures. They love my back yard and have several places to eat. They eat with the birds. When they
are finished back to the woods
for a nap. People tell me they dig
up their plants but they never
bother mine. They love sunflower
seeds and I found out the red birds
also love them. Glad you are
back from vacation. Thanks for the
good meal today.

That squirrel is going to miss you when you're gone. Sad to see those grave sites in such bad repair. You'd think that some Historical Society would be making sure it was preserved. Have a safe trip back to home base.

Be happy you didn't buy that generation of Monte Carlo! The GM cars of that era were the result of the bean counters rather than the car guys running GM and they were garbage - no intent to insult garbage! The decision to put the financial staff in charge of daily operations at GM rather than the "car guys" led to GM's decline...

We love our trips, this year was South Beach, and coming up is Chicago, Florida, and New Orleans. Also, I get to go to Australia for a business trip in about three weeks.
