Just WOW

Cars of importance to someone: (From Tom's girl Myra!) The Doodlebug by Brogan:

The 1946 Doodlebug could achieve a top speed of 45 miles per hour and travel nearly 70 miles on a gallon of gas.

For today:

I do not think car head lights are adjusted correctly today. A xenon — also known as a high-intensity discharge or HID light — is a gas-filled, very bright, and energy-efficient light.  Those headlights are a win for many, but for some OLD Folk thy can knock your eyes out. I honestly do not drive at night too much anymore but the few times I have, I had to look to the side of avoid temp blindness.

Driving the coach I haven’t noticed this too much since I sit much higher and do not catch the full force of the new lights.

My complaint for today, now my big smile:

I smiled at Betty’s comment about her hubby tying a tie for others, and all they had to do was loosen and slip it over their heads. Yeah, I have done that.

Then Bud S. commented. He is in most of my books. In person when he wants to he is very witty and can lay on some rapid fire jokes. He was the Fonz of our youth.

Then there is Myra:

I do not get too many ‘messages’ that are not ‘forwards or political’.  But today a Sweet friend most of you know, sent a message that brought smiles. One thing was the car at the top. Some of you may have gotten the following, read or seen this, but I have not. They were both new to me:

I hope you all had a great 4th. We did. God Bless The USA!

PS: Bless My lucky day, I just got this from Lisa over in G-town:

Thanks for the shoutout Jack! Such a sweet husband and wife story :)

We did have a nice 3 day weekend except for the illegal fireworks and Winslow not being too fond of them. Thankfully that all settled down as of tonight :)

Aw, thanks for the shout-out! 🤗
So glad I'm not the only one bothered by on-coming headlights. Then again, we try not to do any more driving than necessary after dark.

I never drive after dark these days. The headlights tend to blind me. I'm ok as there isn't any need to go out or be out late at nigh and If it's the case, on of my children will give me a ride. It's not easy getting older, but I've learned to ask for help when it's needed. Glad you had a great 4th of July, so did I. God Bless America!

Look at that lil' Doodlebug. If it isn't the cutest thing. It would be a star of the road complete with those flashy eyes (lights). I do the night driving most the time now but we aren't out after dark much as we used to be.
The newer blueish lights are blinding. Our 4th was all family and food...with listening to fireworks from town. A person gets a crook in ones neck, craning to look up...lol. America is changing but God will see to it that She remains Blessed. Pray
loven'hugs from up north where the temp dropped nearly 30 degrees from yesterday's heat. It's raining. YES for it's dry up north

I agree about the headlights. So annoying and scary when you are temporarily blinded! I hope you had a good July 4th and I love the husband/wife story! Very cute and also very true!
