Sherry is cooking, all I did was light the oven. I did tell her, she was not allowed to clean up, but she disobeyed Dr. jack’s orders and did clean up some. I’ll let her slide.
Our Grandson Matthew Dillon, took a job in Maryland just after College was out for the Summer. Since we lived in Arlington and worked in the DC area for a couple years, I warned him about the traffic. Warnings mean nothing, you have to experience 8 lanes of traffic STOPPED. You must learn to live in that big parking lot until it moves. Anyway he is back, the traffic, cost of living and tops, missing his girl friend. I don’t blame him at all. You must like crowds and traffic to live there.
I looked as solemn as I could when he came out to give me a hug, I said to him, “have you had a chance to see THAT GIRL yet?” then the grin went from ear to eat. (Me knowing that was the first place he went when he got home. Yeah, I am old, but I can remember the first place I went when returning home, SHERRY’S HOUSE!)
Anyway Matt and his Girl-friend ate beans and Salmon patties with us, along with son Mark. Sherry is great in the kitchen (the rest of the house too, mind you), I have missed her cooking. Of course my meals are great, but you can eat chicken just so many ways. hahahahahaha
However she was tired, she is getting strength back slowly. We also went grocery shopping last night. She was beat.
I noticed Gas was $3.30 a gallon. Sure makes you mad when you find yourself thinking that is a good price.
Time is approaching for this Motor home to get underway. We will head for Tennessee a few days after the fourth. We plan to visit friends Fred & Frances, George & Donna and hopefully, Jack Darnell over in Coker Creek.
(Then off to Maine and some Lobsta)
Thanks for coming this way.

I took my girl out for a Blizzard last night. While there a smart aleck drove in with a beautiful ‘55 chev the color of the Dodge I am showing.
Salmon and Grey. I started to just take it, but then I noticed he was a bout 6’6” and 250lbs.

I would imagine it will take a bit of time to get your strength back Sherry; take it slow and don't push yourself too much! Maine sounds like a wonderful place to go this time of year; I'm sure you'll enjoy all your travels. I know about gas prices; they are starting to drop below $4.00 a gallon here and we get all excited, LOL.
Totally understand about your grandson coming back home; it does get tedious to fight traffic and the high cost of things and I don't even have to commute :) I bet his girlfriend was glad to see him too!
Sounds like things are going great Jack! And now tomorrow is the sale! Good luck with it!
betty
squash, salmon patties and cornbread...wow sorry I missed this! haven't had a salmon patty since way before Don passed away! and then you're going up north and have...lobster! ENVY! ENVY! ENVY!
Hi Sherry, happy you're back in the kitchen ;)
Life is good there at your house! I suddenly got hungry just reading your post today. Surely does sound like some good eating. Glad your grandson got back in before you left out of there. I wondered just how long you would stay in one spot. I suppose you have to get that big garage sale out of the way before you leave though. Glad Sherry is back to doing some things. Slow and easy does it. After cooking I always thought someone else should do the clean up anyway...funny thing how they all would disappear after dinner was out of the way. I'm off to get some lunch now. Have a fantastic Friday!
I guess she has the cast off and it does take time to recoup from everything. So you like her cooking. Your grandson is home. So tell me - how do you get your mind set to sit in traffic - 8 lanes - and not move?
Well you are getting ready to go off again! lol

Glad Sherry is getting her strength back and feeling better.
I get tired going to the grocery
store up and down the isles
trying to find things because
they rearrange everything.
Yes thinking we have cheap gas,
is a joke. But we much drive.

Hello, hello! Mama got her card today, that was so sweet of you and Sherry. Loved the fancy addressing :-) . They took the staples out yesterday, she had twenty. She tries to read a few blogs when she feels up to it. I brought them up on my tablet for her. Hope the yard sale goes great. Please keep her in your prayers, love from lower Alabama, Sheila
When you mention eight lanes of heavy traffic I think of diretics. Excuse the frankness but women can't pee in a cup. Guess its time for me to buy a can of salmon and hope John is gone someday. lol
Ah, Main for LOBSTA! I'm jealous!
Glad to hear Sherry is feeling better.
Hugs, Rose
I'll be in Coker Creek July 5-11. Would love to see you and Sherry.

So true...
Nice '55 Chevy and «Louis» especially likes the salmon & grey Dodge. The mid-'50s Mopars were great looking cars.
Wonderlust...
Did you say, Maine. LOBSTER? I am hitching a ride. LOL ENJOY. Glad Sherry is feeling well enough to cook. I know what a strain a broken arm is. Take care.
