Trivia

Do you enjoy trivia questions? There are times I really do, that is usually when the trivia is about my lifetime interests and experience so I can answer correctly and appear very smart.

i.e.  (1)Where is this famous bridge found?

201109-w-drives-linn-coveviaduct2

a. Washington State

b. Northern China

c. Blue Ridge Parkway

d. Alaska

So when I saw the “Do You want to receive the ‘Trivia Question of the Day’,” I  clicked YES send it on.  Sherry is the real gamer in the family so she signed on also. We get the same question,  I know it is hard to believe, but my grade is down to 48% all ready, Sherry of course is more but not much I think she is 54%.

Seems they could ask something I KNOW, ha.

You begin to feel ignorant when you do not know which country/city celebrates the New Year first. Now I thought it would be Jolly old England since that is the location of ZULU time. But NO! I missed it and I do not remember what it was. Sherry thinks it was Samoa.

(2)  Gary Dahl came up with what famous invention:

a. Slinky

b. Rubic Cube

c. crossword

d. Pet Rock

Yeah, I missed it, do you know what it was?

Trivia is fun. I do enjoy the question every day. Since no one but me sees my score I don’t have to be embarrassed. I can always lie and say I’m at 98%, Who is Gary Dahl anyway?  Surprised smile

Nah if I’m gonna lie it is gonna be about something big.

Okay about lying, did you know there is such a thing as a white lie?  Now wait. Let’s do a trivia Question:

(3) Who lied and God was pleased with them and blessed them?

a. Adam

b. Eve

c. Paul

d. Rahab

(4) In the same vein, What was the person’s occupation that lied:

a. Politician

b. Prostitute

c. Preacher

d. Camel salesman

Okay, I started to say tune in tomorrow and get the answer, but I might forget, then I would be lying about something little. So If I don’t forget, I will give the answers, that you already know, at the end of the post.

I think about the joke I read:

Psychologist: Does anyone in your family suffer from mental illness?

Patient: No m’am, I think they all enjoy it.

So I think that is how I am about trivia. I am enjoying suffering thru these questions.

Thanks for putting up with my silliness.  Ken does a Sunday Silliness I enjoy.

Nite Shipslog

PS: The answers are:

***** 1. c. Blue ridge parkway

****** 2..  d. Dahl = Pet Rock (I missed it)

*****  3. ..(d)  White lie?  Rahab

…… 4. …. (b)  Occupation: Prostitute (Harlot)

have left the mind just like Elvis

Maybe playing will bring things
back.

I love trivia. It's a fun thing to do. I did get the last two right and guessed at the other two but was wrong. All is calm here at the moment. We are waiting for the big storm to blow in, hoping it won't be as bad as they are saying.

I'm not very good at trivia, but it is fun to try and guess. Hope you are staying a little warmer there in Florida. Take care, Sheila

I began this post nodding ... I LOVE trivia. Finished by hanging my head like the class dunce!

Still, I love it. Sorta the way I love watching/playing Jeopardy ... hoping against hope I might learn something -- and retain it! lol

I'm not that good at trivia questions. But I do watch Jeopardy and get a lot of the answers there.

Good grief, I got one correct. I do love trivia though. Several years ago I used to play a game named Triviatron online. I was so disappointed when they took it off.

Fun trivia post, Jack!

«Louis» took the liberty of linking it to Sunday Bridges.

Edsel has the last laugh - collectors pay BIG bucks for them now!
