Memorable Automobiles from The Past:
The Mothers I have known up close:
My Daddy's Mother, Granny Darnell
For today:
WE (MEN) have just a small idea of what mothers lives are like. Reading history the life of a mother has always been tougher than the father.
We men know how uncomfortable it is to be overweight, but we have no idea how it feels to quickly add 7-20 pounds to our ‘belly region’, and how it gets in the way. I know for sure WE have no idea the pains and uncomforts accompanying child bearing.
All
that said, A mother must know ‘sheer joy’ of seeing that child that caused her
so much pain and annoy-ment just minutes after the birthing is complete.
There
is something special methinks of the daughter/mother relationship that the son
will not know. The son will NEVER know that sheer joy, but the mother knows
most likely that daughter will.
I could see and
learned something special when I married Sherry. There was a special connection
between that mother and that daughter. It was
a connection that was obvious.
I have
commented on that when some of you ladies mention the closeness of you and your
mother or you and your daughter.
So A HAPPY
MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU ALL, and to my sweetheart who is a special mother to her
boys, and special Grand MOTHER to her grands.
She is Mama to Jack Jr and Mark D.
Funny
that, Sherry had no daughters, but when Mark and Corinne presented her with
Sherece, the only granddaughter, there was THAT special connection, she had her
daughter. ;-)
I think tomorrow
I will mention Mary, the mother of Jesus. That took a special kind of lady.

PS: Quotes that THINK:
When you get a headache, take two aspirin and keep away from children just like the bottle says.

Thank you Jack! I love being a mother am very blessed to have one daughter and six sons ! There is a connection between my daughter and I that is very special. Glad Sherry had a least one granddaughter. They are very special ! Hope Sherry has a Happy Mothers Day too!
I think you are a very wise man, Jack. Thank you for this tribute to mothers.
God bless you and Sherry and family.
I wish I'd thought to do something like this, Jack! When I consider the unselfish sacrifices of those women who've gone before? Wow.
I've no doubt, your Sherry is a blessing --not only to you, but to all who are fortunate to know her.
Being a mom is and has been lifetime of experiences.
Sweet post Jack.
Those are some beautiful and precious women you mentioned.
I wish I could post photos of my mom but I have no pictures of her other than side views or mad views because she will not let us take her picture. The ones I have of her, I had to sneak and take and I cant let her know I have them. OR if I do have one she knows about, I have to promise I want pot it. I think that is the only selfish thing my mom does and thats ok. She is a good mother.
I hope Sherrys day was wonderful.
