… Memorable car of the day:
For today:
I am not
going to say I haven’t gotten my bridge installed yet. I am not even gonna say I haven’t heard a
thing. LOL
Life continues and BIG
PROBLEMS persist. When I hear and read of the crazies in this world today, from
Putin in Russia to the weird crazies pushed by conspiracy theories, shooting
and killing folks they don’t like, even their own grandmother and children, it
makes you wonder.
I
believe we have a right to own and bear arms in this country. BUT with all the
idiots around, we just may see some legislation that gun owners do not like.
I am
not smart enough to explain and I definitely do not have answers of how to keep
guns from crazies, BUT SOME ONE DOES!!!! I hope they can come forth soon with
answers.
“WE have
the right to own and shoot guns!” Don’t
be dumb enough to say that to a mother that sent her child, the center of her
life, off to school this morning and this afternoon the child, that beautiful
child, is in a mortuary. Don’t be that stupid.
This
world in a position that Prayer IS the Answer. Don’t you think?

Heartbreaking. Unbelievable. I believe prayer is the ONLY answer.
PS - Reading your 'PS' reminds me of that Nat King Cole classic: "Smile, though your heart is aching Smile, even though it's breaking When there are clouds in the sky you'll get by If you smile through your fear and sorrow ..."
I agree about the prayer. But I think we need to pray daily for schools and the safety of the kids, not just after events that happen like the tragedy in Texas yesterday. I think prayer needs to be brought back into the classroom myself. Listening to Jennifer Goetz (wife of Marty Goetz who I featured during the A to Z challenge with his excellent piano and singing skills), she said when she was in school (granted she is a few years older than me so that was a long time ago) every day as a class they recited the Lord's Prayer and then the teacher would pick a classmate who could read a psalm. And this was a public school! We kicked God out of school (and so much more) and then we want to pray after the fact for comfort (which He will provide) but what if we invited Him back into those areas?
I also think there should be a test given to determine the mental health of someone getting a gun. This 18 year old who committed that atrocious act in Texas bought the first gun either on his 18th birthday or really close to it. He had a bit of a violent history too. There were too many red flags out there that people weren't catching or doing something about.
betty
Someone out there has the answer to gun control but sadly, I have a feeling whatever the answer was the Republicans would block it even if it meant saving lives. They're under the impression that guns don't kill, people do. No, people with guns do. Prayers for the people of Uvalde, TX.
Prayer is always the best answer and shouldn't be a last resort. Please God protect our children. There are days when I feel like I spent the whole day praying, especially lately. Prayers work when nothing else does. We must keep on praying.
Why is it that every time a tragedy hits, we never see resolve.? The entire country moarns the loss of any person and especially the children. I personally, have never believed that assault weapons should ever been one that 'anyone' of legal age could be able to purchase. Yes, if they want them bad enough they can get them off the streets. Yes, it's criminal but so should the deadly guns be. I'd still want our family to have the privilege of sport hunting to feed their families and community, but there's Never need to use assault weapons., NEVER. God be with the families of anyone's loss of loved ones from such a horrific act. May they never lose their faith.
loven'hugs from our far northwoods as the days warm the earth to grow our produce for another year. God is miraculous.
