Information on STICKY

Well Yesterday I got a thrill then a shock. First of all Josh was able to upload from NC the cover he designed, and I was able to down load it here in Fla. I was so happy it looked great. I went to the Printer and started to upload, they said WHOA! That is too large, the most it can be is 40 MB, it was over 50MB.
Nearly a bad word was said, I e-mailed Josh can we drop something, change the color, make the cover all one color, see what you can do. I started drawing another cover. This time I decided to go ahead and paint one in acrylics and take a picture of it then etc etc. I e-mailed a great guy’s wife. Jean. To Ask if Jim, he being a super dooper with Caterpillar, could get me a picture of the RD6 Cat.
THEN I got the e-mail from Josh, “I GOT IT” He went back to the file pressed it, ironed it, took out the garbage, squeezed out the water from the mud, what ever, and got the file down to size.
SOOOOOO I have submitted it to the techies for scrutiny, if they pass it, it will be ready for the proof printing. I am actually very excited.

It takes awhile to pass the book back and forth from California physically, so I still have weeks to wait, but that doesn’t stop me from being excited. I think I will have a sale here on the BLOG for autographed copies, ha!
I do appreciate all the support from my family. Jack, my son read the manuscript and said, “Dad I am impressed”. I wanted to put that on the cover, I still might. Now I would be REALLY impressed if my son Mark read it, without the comments. HA!
My dear friend Glenda read it and gave me some very good advice and made some important suggestions for changes which I incorporated. Shirl read it and was impressed. Hey really folks she read the whole book, she also made suggestions and corrections that I incorporated.
So, I am reading a copy of what I sent in the last time. I have found a couple small things I over looked, but not enough to stop the presses for.
Thanks for reading this stuff,
Nite Shipslog

Stock market language, important at this stage of our country:
******
VALUE INVESTING -- The art of buying low and selling lower.
*****
P/E RATIO -- The percentage of investors wetting their pants as the market keeps crashing.
*****
BROKER -- What current conditions have made me.
*******
STANDARD & POOR -- Your life in a nutshell.
*******
STOCK ANALYST -- Idiot who just downgraded your stock. (He hasn't got a prediction right yet, and says its the companies who are at fault.)

Well looks like everybody is getting excited. The funniest
thing was me thinking it was true
how Sticky got his name and told
Denese and thank goodness she
didn't see Sticky until I corrected
what I told. It is all fiction.
I even shed a tear I thought it was so sweet. We got a good laugh.

Ok, first things first, isn't today your birthday? If so Happy 70th Birthday!!!!
If your book made Shirl shed a tear it must be really great. Glad your grandson was able to get the cover to size so the printer would accept it. The introduction in the link sounded interesting. Hope it becomes a #1 best seller.
