Sherry has more money than a country! (& Clowns)

Of course that is not saying much, the Minister of Finance of Zimbabwe says they have $217 in the country’s account.

Of course all the USA has are IOU’s.  Maybe Zimbabwe is actually in better shape than the USA financially.

It is pitiful I know, but nice to know you have more money than an entire country.

I got the fly

(Don’t you love persistence!)

At the flea Market Don saw a sign advertising ‘SOLE-LESS SANDALS’!   I am sure it is just a catchy phrase used to sell the decorative beads that hook around the toe and go to the ankle. But sole-less? I remember once seeing a clown who had sole-less shoes, and he got a lot of laughs, he could turn the shoes backwards or sideways and trim his toe nails without removing his shoes.

We have a friend who is a clown down in Okee. I do know that all clowns have their own ‘patented or  ©’ make up. Every one is unique. I am not sure if Ken (http://buckoclown.blogspot.com/) entertains or not, but I know he likes clowning.

(The first clown I remember seeing on TV,Clarabel on Howdy Doody. CB only spoke once the entire time, that was at the END of Howdydoodie, he said, “BYE KIDS”)

Clowns are a unique group of people. Some are very introverted, but become extroverted once in make-up and costume.  They can then ‘be themselves’. Ventriloquists are the same, they get to express themselves thru another medium.

Don Knots

You may have read about Jesse Don Knotts, he was an introvert, but loved ventriloquism, and used it to launch a great career. I was reminded of this by a note from Woody up in NY!

I used George for many years.

(I let George drive the car until he started drinking too much!)

All humans seek to find a way to be themselves,  I used my monkey George for years, I was his dummy. He is in the basement of the motor home now, I seldom let him out anymore but he loves it when he is turned loose.

Life takes a lot of turns, sorta like this blog entry. Confused smileWinking smile.

Thanks for coming this way,

Nite Shipslog

PS:

Everyone should find a way to be themselves, life is better that way. (I read somewhere, You  had better be yourself, everyone else is taken!)

This type of business use came after WWII. When I was 6, I remember being daddy being behind a big bomber fuselage on a truck that had got wedged under an overpass.

I love all the turns your blog makes - it keeps me wondering what's coming next?! I can throw my voice - just ask Thom.

From money to clowns is a twist for sure. Still I read it all. After a sunny warmer day they say snow mixed with sleet is coming our way tonight. Spring will take it's time getting to our neck of the woods. It always does.

I always thought it would be fun to be a clown; you could be as silly as you want and no one would see the "real you" under your costume.

Truly admire those that can "throw their voice" Jack! It would have been fun to see your show!

My Brother is a clown and knows
how to entertain people. I hear
that all the time from people.
They ask where is Jack and Sherry now I love that boy. His drawings while he talked were very good and taught a lesson. Brother is very talented. Our Dad was an entertainer and loved by everyone. Jack is just like our DAD.

Yup. Zimbabwe might be in better shape. The Øbamunists are borrowing 46¢ of every dollar they spend. Øbama is spending $4 BILLION a day. What have we got to show for it? The answer is that we've got a government that is growing more tyrannical every day...

The plane in the service station photo is a B-17.

I might have that much money too - lol. Still not enough.

Love the dog getting the fly.

Maybe the sandals don't have any 'souls'...

You are right that we all need to find ourselves. Therapy is a good way too!

Loving the twists and turns here!
:))
My daughter-in-law is afraid of clowns. I don't know why, but she is terrified of them.
Hugs,
Jackie

Only as an adult did I become interested in clowns (isn't that weird?) I think because my aunt and uncle were involved with Ringling's "show folks" in Sarasota.

I imagine it would be SO liberating to have an alter-ego!
For instance?
... Does George have a Facebook page? Love that smile on his face!
