It must be getting close to Christmas.

This coach we live in is called a Diesel Pusher, meaning the engine is in the rear. Our bed is built over the engine with storage around the engine compartment. That is where the Christmas decorations are kept.

We just arrived at a new RV park, and Sherry says, “While you set up outside I will get the decorations out.” So by night fall we were decorated again. We are ready for Santa.Christmas decoration 003Christmas decoration 004

It was a full moon, funny it looked bigger when I took the picture.Surprised smile

Sherry wanted to see if my bald head would reflect the flash.

Shirl has for years kept us in Christmas stockings. These are the latest, White with Chrismon's.

So we are ready for Christmas.

Oh, I wanted you to see how our pecans arrived. Some wondered about picking out 100 lbs. It isn’t as bad as it sounds. I guess we only  picked out maybe 25 lbs. Sherry buys them precracked this is what a 20lb sack looks like when you open it.

I came up with the idea of using the deep fryer strainer to put the partially out nuts in. Then I shook them real hard and that even took more goodies out, plus it allowed some straining of small pieces of shell. Then I put the residue that fell thru the metal into our orange juicer sieve and saved the small pieces of nuts. It made very clean nuts this time.

Now we have 24 quarts of nuts and have already given away a few quarts for Christmas.  I love Pecans. If Sherry will let me I might try to bake a pecan pie.

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. Since we are seldom home at Christmas,  It has become sort of a tradition for us now, Son Jack will drive down for Christmas and Mark will probably come over from Melbourne.

This will be a most wonderful time, the family has no health problems, and everyone seems to be doing great. SHERRY and I are enjoying these peaceful times. So for us it is Peace on Earth and good will to men.

I think the paintings on the trucks are so clever they look real. Christmas is a wonderful time. I guess I will be Fl.

Glad Mark and Jack are coming for Christmas that will be fun. You are right thank GOD we are all in good health and that is wonderful. Guess we can sing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas".

That 3D 'log' truck would freak me out! Brings back lots of memories of travelling the back roads of Alabama, following flat-beds coming from the paper mill.

Your dash décor is absolutely perfect: Simple and sincere. (Me, I think there's a real thin line between tasteful and tacky!)

Always great to see photos of you and of Sherry. Smiled at the fact that she thought the light would bounce from your bald head. Love that you two have so much fun together!
The Christmas tree and stockings are beautiful...and I hope that you and your family have a most wonderful Christmas together.
Love you all,
Jackie
