Grass, Job's wife and LEARNING ;-O

 That Car:

The man Job, In the Bible, felt as useful as this car!

For today Remembering:

That lady TT just had to mention grass. She & hubby had a wild time cutting Grass on Mother’s day.  OK in my mind’s eye, I can see our grass up in NC being about knee high.  We are usually there or at least pass thru by now.  We have great neighbors, he does cut ours every once in a while but I sure do not want him to feel obligated.

One of the problems of leaving a home vacant for months at a time is maintenance. Once, years ago we had a burglary and on another occasion a HW heater sprung a leak. Thankfully the Heater is in the basement and the only problem was the water and gas bills. ;-(

On Sunday of Mother’s Day the speaker was a lady. Don’t you love it when someone actually makes you think? I have attended church most of my life. As a Preacher’s kid I attended church 99% of the times the doors were open. I could claim heart attacks or strokes that did no good, dad believed in divine healing, so he would pray. and and I went to church. Ok, that is a little exaggeration, but not much. (LOL)

Anyway if you are a Christian and have attended church at least a year you have heard about Job’s sorry wife. Scripture quotes her as saying to Job while he is ‘as sick as a dog, “Why don’t you just curse God and die!” Until this past Sunday, that was my view of Job’s wife.

I have always felt sorry for Job, God allowed Satan to attack him, but was not allowed to kill him. Man, old Job suffered!!!!!

Okay on Sunday our speaker (who was a Mother) stood in the church we visited here in Wildwood and said something I have NEVER even considered.

Job’s Wife was a MOTHER. All her children died in just a short period, the wealth she had enjoyed and her home is taken from her within days.

During this time SHE watched her husband suffer unheard of physical pain he was now living a hell on earth, in terrible pain.

THEN in a NEW LIGHT, I realized this Mother is suffering along with her husband, with less insight. Now I can understand her feelings more!

PS:  I’m thinking:

If you see me talking to myself just move along. I’m self-employed. I have probably called an administrative meeting.

Like you I attended church most every Sunday and heard the story of Job many times, but I really never consider Jobs wife. I can't imagine all that she suffered, although I have lost one sone, I =on, I didn't lose all of them. Terry and her husband certainly had a terrible time mowing. We all have trying times at times must learn to keep the faith. Job was an amazing man.

Job's wife never occurred to me. Poor lady. Job was incredible.

Like Ma and Susan, the backstory of Job's wife is something I never thought about. We never really know what someone else may be going through, do we. I've probably learned more from friends' and Bloggers than I did sitting in many a pew.

That would be hard to maintain a house like you guys do, Jack, when you aren't there often to see what is happening and probably not worth paying a property management place to keep an eye on it. I always wondered with Job's wife was she the mother of the 10 children Job had afterwards?

Often, when we suffer, we do not realise that others suffer with us. Loved ones, who see us being hurt, or are actually affected by what goes wrong in our lives - like in Job's case. His wife did not have as much faith as him. So, when we suffer, we need to remember our loved ones and have faith for them too.

God bless.

ok. I’m 5 days short of being 53 years old, been attending church all my life. When I was younger, church was 3+ days a week and I have not heard the story of Job. Well maybe I have but didn't pay attention. I’m gonna go back and read up on it now.
If Sunday school gave grades I would have probably made D’s just like other school.

Heading to work

Mothering is as much a joy as it can sometimes be such a trial. God gives us trials to remind us to call on Him. That fact has helped me get thru many times of which I'm so grateful. We don't mow our grass the month of May in our further north so the bees have a chance to find nectar in the smallest of dandelions and clover. Now that the trees are starting to bud, life gets easier for our busy bees, for without them, even we would not survive.
loven'hugs from up north in another hot, humid day ahead. I love it
