Yesterday, all my troubles…..

 That Car:

Something inside my head says: This is Beautiful.  What memories that car holds!

For today Remembering:

Yesterday went well, sorta uncomfortable at times but they did grind and drill some, then they took impressions. They tell us the max is 14 working days for the Bridge to be available to INSTALL!

Now, about my dentist. I guess he does good work. The jury is still out on that. Personality? not much… Not sure if a Dentist is supposed to have a ‘bed-side manner’ or not, if so he missed that class in school. LOL At the last appointment he started grinding the ‘good’ teeth that the Bridge will be attached to, he hit a nerve I growned and jerked a little, he said, “I didn’t hurt you!”  It crossed my mind, “How do you know?”  LOL

I know I am sounding a little hard on him, but all in all I cannot REALLY complain. He is not nasty, just short and curt, must be his nature. The assistants are very good.

He has a few dental chairs in cubicles. Four to six people have a 10AM appt. and are seated.  Then he alternates with each one. I am not used to the procedure. I sat for 35 minutes in the chair before anything started. He would leave the assistant doing something and go to another patient. I was in the seat 2 hours (I began to wish I had worn my Depends!) Pretty long for an old man after breakfast coffee! LOL

Anyway Yesterday was the tomorrow I was concerned about. LOL  (I learned that from my sister Shirley, she would say "I don't worry about that but I am concerned!")

Nite Shipslog

PS: Thanks Evelyn for this,  Just good thinking:

Getting another set of teeth would be much more useful at 60 than at age 6.

I've overdue for a dental exam myself. Your guy's set-up (of) alternating patients? I don't like the sound of that at all; I mean, we're not even officially clear of Covid and here he's going around sticking his fingers in everyone's mouths. Huh?
OK, maybe he's putting on fresh gloves, but still. I forget where I heard it, but dentists are supposed to be the #1 occupation of those who commit suicide.

It is almost like you guys are playing round robin at the dentist with the way he has you set up with the chairs. I've been to dentists where they will work on several patients at a time but not with the long waits like you had! A dentist has got to have a real love of the type of work they do. Their hands are in someone's mouth literally all day!

I have a new dentist and he's an older guy and super sweet. With my new work schedule I've had to postpone my cleanings and hopefully I'll get that done soon. Sitting in that chair for that long makes it hard for me to get up quickly! However, I would have quit with that guy if he was curt and also ignored that fact that something does hurt. Remember, he's your employee. You hired him, he didn't come and get you. So there's always a new one around the corner and I'd be out of there ASAP! Then again, working for 50yrs with Docs makes me not intimidated at all!

Praying all will be well with your dental work and your health.

That first photo reminds me of going through the desert with a car with no name.

God bless.

Oh I hate going to the dentist and will absolutely wait until I’m in pain before I go. I don’t know why I am this way. They will even prescribe me 2 Valiums and tell me to take one before I come. Thats how anxious I get. However, I never take them. I stay away from drugs. I do go pick them up at the pharmacy anyway just incase. I hear they have a nice street value. Haha. Just kidding.
My dentist is nice and his assistant is actually one of my good friends that I do lunch with often. He has a good bedside manner. He and the assistant will joke around with me and talk about whats going on in the world and I just nod.
