Day trip top Orlando

When we make a day trip or one of a thousand miles, there is the same feeling, freedom to travel. We take this for granted that we can travel from state to state without even slowing down. Sherry likes to take pictures of State signs as we enter, many times at 55-70 mph.

Our old coach in Biloxi Miss.

There are places where it is less trouble to even enter Canada (because of traffic, not procedures). We took note of the LOOOONNNG line across the Soo locks from Michigan to Canada. Comparing it to where we entered from North Dakota into Saskatchewan, Canada. From the Dakotas it was a breeze.

Travel is a relaxer to us. We love each other’s company. Much of the time we talk, but there are times there is an hour of silence as we are both lost in our own worlds.

Like most couples who have been together a long time, we will start to comment or say something about the same thing.

In the last couple days my friend VonDale and his wife Rose have been on a trip to Texas. Going out there to get another boat. I think he is starting to collect these things. I mentioned it because we have been communicating about Martha’s Memorial Service. Also places keys Rose to call. She knows we lived in Biloxi, so she called and says, “We are passing Biloxi now!” of course that stirs an hour conversation. Phones make traveling pass faster for a lot of folks.

Oh, and do you have one of the no-theft radios? Well we do, and if you lose a battery (it dies), the car thinks the radio has been stolen and to get it to play you must enter the correct code. Well guess what? We don’t know the code. It is not in the glove compartment (That is the storage in the dash, for the younger folk). It came from before heaters, they had a place to store their gloves.

We keep forgetting to go to the Honda place to have them get one for us. Gotta do that sometime.

Well, thanks for taking the time to read the log. I know you have a lot to do and so I appreciate your time.

Yeah I think something went wrong there. lol Yes I do have things to do but I'm reading blogs instead waiting for time to go to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. You know I just can't wait to go.

Glad you had a good trip and that you have plenty of traveling friends and each other to enjoy doing it with too. Hope your Tuesday is a terrific one!

Enjoy the un-comparable freedom that we have to cross state lines. That's possible because we are a Republic wherein the states give rights to the Feds. Traveling is such fun when you're in good company. Stop whenever either one needs to stop...take a break...no deadlines to meet...mosey on down to the next town or just take a sight-seeing detour. Rest when you are tired. Don't do it like we did when we were young and travel until you start having double vision, slapping yourself in the face, rolling the window down to keep you awake, and etc. just to get to a place by a certain hour. That can get rough!

BTW - that news reporter "Expert" is now an Ex Spurt!

I think Vondale is having fun spending his money.
You have seen some beautiful sites and places.
It is good you both like to travel. We had to travel before retirement but now I'm home.
Stay safe and be cool.

Travel on my good friends. Bill and I will go for the longest time sometimes, also, without a word, when suddenly we speak at the same time, and like yourselves, about the same thing. Great relationships do that, I guess. Is that right or is that just coincidence? Either way, it's always something to chuckle about. If you hadn't noticed when we met this past summer, Bill doesn't speak unless he has something to say and I never shut up, so he says. Mama always said that my twin, Doug, didn't speak til he was nearly four. She said that I did all the talking for both of us. Some things never change.
Have yourselves safe travels while keeping it fun.
