Rewards and Politics

I am tired of all these ‘rewards’ cards and coupons. Just sell the stuff at a reasonable price. I know it is a PR thing. I also know it is a ‘tax credit thing’ when you have the buy one get one free. Each ‘free’ item is charged off to advertisement.

We have never used the ‘Rewards’ the bank says we have, one day I might just get a pink Caddy, who knows?

We have all these little card thingies! No matter where I seem to shop the clerk asks if I have one of our ‘REWARDS’ cards? If I say no, they give me one or grab on from behind the counter and ring it up. I even have a Best Buy rewards card. I haven’t noticed it doing anything for me yet.

I think of rewards I think of ‘Jessie James’ or ‘Billy the Kid’.

POLITICS:

I guess the ‘State of the Union’ will be on tonight. No I won’t listen, since I don’t hear anyway.

I am getting to dislike politicians more and more. There is some kind of Constitutional Amendment Suggestion going around to limit all terms of politicians, like we do the president. I think that is a good idea, but it will never fly. Just circulating that around the internet, and it getting read, gives the impression someone if already behind it. I sure hope so, but I have not seen anything officially.

In the beginning I don’t think our founding fathers intended our country to be ran by ‘Professional Politicians’, but by good men sent there by their states who would do what they could and return home.

Thanks for coming this way.

'Did you see where some baseball player just signed a
contract for $75,000 a year just to play ball?
It wouldn't surprise me if someday they'll be
making more than the President.

PS2: Aol and I are about on speaking terms again!

I'm going to be watching tonight. I really would like to hear just how our union is doing. I hope some of the Presidents speech does cover that part. Our country is such a great land and I think we all need to remember the reasons why. One Nation under God.

We have a couple of those Best Buy cards also but have never tried using them.
I just sent you a reply under jack69 but it came back saying user not found. Just wondered if you have switched email addresses.

Over here there are many newspapers offering coupons for the supermarket, gladly used by many nowadays. Once again, a good measurement of time and life.
Please have you all a good Wednesday.

I don't like the coupons that say buy one and get one for 50% off.

I want Obama to stop apologizing for us. We are the greatest Country in the World. What Freedom we have. I will have the TV on but will just get bits and pieces of his speech. The Politicians
talk out of both sides of their mouth.

Jack, you didn't miss much. It's "business as usual" and I could not see any change in the main agenda. He is an articulate and persuasive speaker, I give him that...but he still wants to give us a "Sputnik Moment" and is pressing for his socialist agenda. Of course he wants this effort to be "bi-partisan" - which means he wants those who have different opinions to lay them aside and join him in the rush to take us to judgment day. I'm sure I'll get some negative vibes for saying it that way - but that's how I see it.

Like you, I've got "rewards cards" spilling out of my ears and they don't seem to be doing me any good at all. I wonder why I show them? LOL. I'm really hoping for a better reward later...Like it says in Luke 6:35
"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."
