Grandson Stephen and his beautiful sweet wife Jennifer are expecting a baby. So with today’s ultra sound, they learn the sex of the baby early.
Remember when NO ONE knew until the baby discovered America. Our two boys were no surprise I KNEW. hahahahahaha
We considered it a privilege that they wanted to have the family meet here at the motor home for the announcement. So Jennifer comes in with a tray of cup cakes. We visit for awhile and nothing was said about the gender of the coming bundle of joy.
Then Jennifer passed out the cupcakes, no one took a bite until she announced, when you eat the cup cake you will know whether it is a boy or girl.
I am pretty thick sometimes to be so danged smart. I started eating the cup cake, I heard nothing from the cake. I heard every body else yell, IT’S A BOY!
I am eating the cup cake, it has a pretty blue center and I STILL DO NOT KNOW! Now I admit to being slow, but when I learn, I NEVER FORGET. We are having the GREAT GRANDSON!
Proud Mother of the BOY, Jennifer, she will be a great mama!
Then there is dear old dad to be, A great guy and a good grandson, Stephen…
This is a great time in a couple’s life. Steve is getting a handle on his life, one more year or semester, (according to how the college he transfers to counts it) for his degree.
Jen is a Registered nurse and I would give odds she is a good one.
So my Sherry is getting older

Congrats! This will make you and Sherry one of each. They make a lovely couple and I would have been like you about eating the cupcake and not noticing the icing, ha.
Congrats to Jennifer and Stephen and to the extended family! Now Stella will have a little cousin to play with (eventually). I love the way they announced it too with the cupcakes :) I have heard of other couples doing something similar. So true how times have changed with finding out if it is a boy or girl. Kinda of exciting to know beforehand to plan on nursery colors etc. Hoping for a safe and healthy rest of pregnancy and a healthy baby!

Lots of couples are doing that now. They call it a reveal party. Revealing whether it's a boy or a girl. I think it's a fun thing to do! Congrats on another new great grandson!
That's cute! Everything is done so different now days. My first great grandson will be Adam and born in November.
It was blue & you still did not know...good, a sense of wonder & wonderment never hurt anyone. And no story is every complete. (esp on a blog!)

Heavy Frost last night, windy and raining today, really hoping for 1 more fall camping trip.
Slim and I found out that we are going to be Great Grands too! Does that make me as old as you Jack?? Never!!! Just because we share a B'Day date doesn't age me a bit; but still keeps you in the old codger category. Now Sherry on the other hand... I can't believe you're a Great G'ma ~ you look too young!!!
