We moved to Melbourne, FL for three days to help son Mark with the bathrooms at the house he bought a few weeks back. The Last time we were over we were able to get the well pump to pumping water. That is still working thank goodness. But the Bathrooms were in terrible shape.
(On the way to work yesterday morn. Sherry spotted this ‘48 Pontiac (I think))
We stay at Wickham Park in Melbourne when we come over. it just happens this is the spot that is decorated for Christmas with a fantastic light exhibit.
The cost to tour the thousands of lights and scenes is $10 per car. However since we live here and return home after dark. we must follow the SLOW line of traffic bumper to bumper looking at the lights.
SO we get the free show and do not mind the slow traffic.
This is one of the benefits of this park at Christmas.
I am always forgetting to take before and after pics. of building projects, but I will try to remember to at least get one picture tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by the log.

PS:
I have one sore arm from mixing mud and setting tile.

Another 3-D truck painting.
Another nativity and another Merry Christmas, I love to say that.

I can imagine the line of cars going to look at the display; we have similar neighborhoods here and it is always challenging to maneuver them around Christmas but fun to look at the lights :)
Glad you are able to help Mark with the projects he needs to get done. Too bad you aren't in this area; we could keep you busy for a year trying to get the house ready to rent (we did find a person who does the type of work, I'm sure it would be a "breeze" for you though Jack)
betty
Ah, Christmas lights. What a fun tour, thanks for the ride, and we didnt have to follow behind a long line of cars!!
I love Christmas lights. The certainly brighten the early nights we are having. I'll be sad to see them go, but soon we'll be gaining a minute or so of daylight each day so I know there is hope. Glad you can help out your son doing something you like to do anyway. Don't try to do it all in a day ! Merry Christmas to you and Sherry. I love saying it too.
I'm sure Mark was glad you helped with the projects..The Christmas lights are beautiful.
Remember we are not young anymore and can't do the things we once could. So take it easy.
Neat you and Sherry get to see the show free. Maybe you're tired and wish it would move a little faster. We went to the hill country one year on a bus to see all the lights. I like that 3-D scene on the truck.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! These are really neat photos, Jack!
The light display is awesome....and even more so as it it reflected on the water.
Beautiful!
I just LOVE Christmas lights - I think they are so pretty.
I mixed mud for an old brick mason one summer and it was some of the hardest work I've ever done.
I'd mix and wheel it over to him and before I could get the next batch mixed in the wheel barrow he'd be hollering MUD!!!!!
Every day's a school day:)
what lovely lights. How exciting to be a part of it all.
