Nothing ain't worth Nothing, But it is free!

******** Automobile’s of Art:
I am not sure if you can make it out, but this is our front tire of the motor home when we were caught in  a late winter storm in Montana I think. They closed the roads. The ice was standing out on the wheel lugs like beards.
The here and now:
 Happy New Year
It has been a long time since I have been completely blank. I can’t remember as a kid ever having that problem. A kid’s mind was always cooking up something. Going to see someone, a game to play, just talking to my dog or trying to learn something.

I remember learning to plait three strips of leather. Shirley taught me to plait 3 ends, like mama plaited her hair. I was proud of myself when I learned to plait 4 ends.
I cut small leather strips and made lanyards and necklaces. Of course back then boys did not wear necklace or bracelets.
Funny how that paid off because growing up I could splice rope and lines.
Speaking of plaiting hair a few lines ago. I enjoy watching a mama or beautician (not in the beauty shop) but quickly make a ‘knot’ or some ‘tie’ on top of a daughters head and in seconds it looks neat. While home Sherece (who is a great beautician) noticed Stella’s hair was loose and blowing and in just a few seconds it was secure on top of her head. Then yesterday here in the park I saw something similar. I guess some girls and mothers have that knack.
A knot is not the right terminology I am sure, but that is what it appears to a boy. LOL
I am sitting here thinking and looked up at a little sign that DIL Corrine gave us that says:
“NOT ALL WHO WANDER ARE LOST”
Of course that is in reference to our ‘wanderlust’. But tonight as my mind wanders, Imma thinking….You are LOST dude!
Thank you for stopping by to exercise your brain. I hope it worked.

You are not lost. You remember more than any person I know.
Happy New Year.

I remember my mom putting my hair up so tight I looked Chinese. Haha. I see girls (and guys) now throw their hair up in a “messy bun”. Im even guilty of this too. Messy and unfixed have been the style for the younger gerneration. I remember when I was younger, I did not want a hair hanging down anywhere. It had to be slicked back and smooth. Now the style is however you wake up looking. Haha

Happy New years eve

With all the things you do and see, I'm sure you are never lost. If they gave out certificates for traveling, I'd say you would get one for being a master traveler. Our minds do wonder though, and sometimes I wonder where mine went. Right now mine is a period of delay. What I should have thought of yesterday, suddenly becomes clear the next day. A day late and a dollar short. Ha ! Lest I forget, I wish you both a very Happy New Year!

Isn't that Johnny Carson? Wow, I miss his gentle humor.
I've always been a bit in awe of hairdressers (both pro and amateur). The closest I've come to plaiting were these plastic craft thingies where one could create keychains and lanyards. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

OK, I've never heard of braiding as plaiting...I learn every day even when my mind is empty. We need to clear out the fog sometimes. It does not mean we are lost, only still in search. I never get tired of reading your words. You teach me something new every day, dear man. I love watching my daughter pull her waist long hair up in an instant bun on top of her head or braid it, turn it inside out by tucking it in at the neck and then fastening the end with a knot of hair. Bill's oldest son fixes his daughters hair all the time in some of those fancy-schmancy braids and ponies. I'm amazed. He learned by watching UTube., go figure.
love n' hugs from up here where we have another storm brewing. So far, however, we don't have enough snow cover to prevent pipes and sewers from freezing. It's always a winter concern where the winds make it feel minus 40 degrees. Happy New Year

I never quite got the knack for doing up hair fancifully, maybe that's why I keep it simple these days with one length and just wash it and brush it and good to go. Happy New Year to you and Sherry, Jack!
