We are in Cool NC

Cars of the 160s
1960 Buick Electra

Arrived  To chilly weather with with tonight going down to 25-26. An inch of icey-snow over the ground and VERY WET roads which will bring on 'black ice'  here.

Oh, we saw the neighbors they were surprised to see us in. They said the feral cat has missed me.

They made her a bed on their porch but she prefers ours and asked if they could bring it over, I said, of course.

Later after dark Son Jack was leaving and reported  'your cat is out here.'  But she took off. I had nothing to feed her but a slice of boiled ham so I got it. and went out and slapped the side of my leg while on the steps. She flew by me like a shot. Turned and ran back by and let me touch her. I held the ham, but she ignored it and started  continually rubbing  against my calf. she finally let me pet her.  then took the ham. That winter coat feels so good. I think she has grown a lot in 3 months, Sherry doesn't think so.

Anyway she still loves me, but with the name Stormy imma thinking she loves males.  Just sayin'.

We hope to be around a week or so then head back to a warmer clime.

I will try to keep up.

I'm happy you made it safe and sound with no trouble traveling. I've seen some pictures of the snow there that makes it look pretty bad. Unlike you we've very little snow on the ground here and tomorrow is to be above freezing so that will soon melt. We have had some slippery days, but for the most part Ohio pours on the salt, so the roads are only wet not icy. The worst part is usually my driveway. Enjoy your family Christmas week! At least the snow should make it feel more like Christmas.

That is funny about the cat - she does love you. I have a friend who changed the feral cat to a house cat - took a long time though. You are not staying there for Christmas?

We are up to about 30 to 32 as it is lightly snowing right now and cloudy !! It always seemed really cold when we were in Florida when it dropped down to 65, when I lived in Myrtle Beach it felt cold at 60 !!!!!! 10 more days and the days start getting longer on December 21 st !!!!!!

Oh, thank you for letting us know y'all made it safely! You know, Jack, you may not believe you have a cat, but it sounds like SHE believes her last name's Darnell. (Jus' saying …)

PS - I must've missed the part about 'Stormy' and was going to call her Blackie.
