Did you Win the Lottery?

This is George. My puppet for many years. When I retired I put him to driving the tow vehicle. He waved and stuck out his tongue. Kids passing loved it.
This is Luke in Jail. Looks like he is sad, huh?

Happy Navy recruiter, evidently made his quota for the month.
Now todays entry:

I didn’t win the lottery this week did you? I am beginning to think this thing is fixed. Someday I am going to buy another ticket. Now I know that as some folk say, “buying a lottery ticket is like throwing the money out the window!” Tell that to the guy who just won $34 million here in Florida. Now honestly someone is going to win. I really do not believe it is fixed or crooked.(I don't think) Now one of the best books I have ever read was ‘The Winner’ by Baldacci. A spoof of a man who handled the ping pong balls in the lottery drawing. He had some chemical that swelled all the balls so they could not get in the holes except the ones he chose.

He then would pick his winner to buy a ticket with that #. It was a great spoof I loved it. If you are a reader and have not read it, give it a shot.

Have you seen the odds of a person winning a lottery, holding on to it? Not a pretty picture. Most are in debt within a year or so. They buy houses they cannot pay the taxes on, etc. Did you know there are folks who are leaches to the winners of lotteries? They have a good sob story and write EVERY LOTTERY WINNER in the USA, some the WORLD. They don’t ask for much. Some a hundred but the most is around $5000. The story is so touching that many winners will say what the heck, send him/her some money. Some folks are so tender hearted they succumb to the temptation to solve all these problems. Folks these guys get hundreds of letters, some from friends. One winner felt so bad at the stories, she gave it all away to these ‘bums’.
Anyway if you win I only want $3,443.50. It is for a heart transplant for Joey, my pet Arangatang. There is an experimental program his doctors are trying. They say that they can use a chicken liver and make a heart for him. I have had him for 40 years. He is like a son. I don’t know what I would do without him. Thanks in advance.
(That’s the one I use!)
Thanks for reading this trash,
Nite Shiplog

One day I will step out of the woods and buy a lottery ticket for my dog. He would do better than most.

I have found it best not to think of lotteries. Not for me, I am unashamedly UNLUCKY.
I would give it away for sure.Give myself a headache thinking what to do with it.
my only wish is to have enough money to go to the grocery and not have to put something back . My son adds it up in his head as we go along to spare me that embarrasement but it usually comes down to the very dollar. Thats how I know the provision is from God. I would not give up that feeling for all the tea in china! lol

A man in John's hometown actually won the Texas lottery several years ago. I think he ended up committing suicide. I've always thought it would be fun to win and then tip people large amounts who do kind things for me. Such as a beauty operator or waitress. Of course I'm not completely unselfish. I would like a few things. lol

I am sorry about your Arangatang Joey needing
a heart transplant. I don't think you can wait on winning the lottery for his new heart. I will
put the check in the mail tomorrow. We don't need to hold up the study for the Doctors experiment. Tell Joey the check is on the way.

so sorry about your Aranatang!! I think we need to do a telethon to make the money for his transplant; Shirl can sing and dance to entertain, it will be a hit!!!

every once in awhile we'll buy a lottery ticket; I know we won't win, but its fun to talk about it we did. I think if we were to win, we wouldn't do anything for a year after we won so we wouldn't go out and do crazy things because we had that money.

cute entry :)

Hi Jack, I use to drive about 25 miles a week to Florida to buy lottery tickets for coworkers and myself I never spent all that much I did have 4 numbers on Fantasy 5 once. I don't play anymore at my age I wouldn't know what to do with all that money if I won, but my children might could think of something! lol. Take care, jean

If that isn't the saddest sob story I don't know what is, hahaha. We do know a man that won 3 million in KY's lottery several years ago. He and his wife were divorced within a few months.
George is cute bet ya had alot of fun with him.
