Satisfaction And Corvairs

“I can’t get NO Satisfaction”, I remember a song by that name…..

WE had one of these in GITMO, I loved that little car, I disliked Nader for killing it.

Now for today's satisfying entry!!!!!!!!

It is very satisfying to bite a finger nail.

It is satisfying to look back and see you made a good decision.

1961ChevrotetCorvairLakewoodWagon-oct8b It feels good to accomplish something. I see it all the time in blogs here on Blogger.

Yep, pictures of good meals prepared and places you have visited. Things you have bought at a bargain. Silly kids and grand kids, A new calf you just discovered. Or animals harvested for food. I read satisfaction in prose and poems.

I see satisfaction and pride in an animal you have trained or just tolerated. I love the pictures of pets, caught with neat expressions, and just after (or while) ‘saying’ something cute!

When I take the time to wash and clean our car, I stand back and with pride say: Boy you look good, I am gonna keep you that way. (now truthfully it is a nice thought) but it is ALWAYS a LIE on my part, because I don’t do what I said. But I do love a clean car.

I have decided to bring Sherry’s lap top to the hospital. Today Sherry came down to the family as usual and we took off down (many) stairs. I left the laptop here and on line, along with my back pack. Then when we climbed back up (many) stairs, and I looked over at the cluttered corner where I left the laptop & stuff, The corner was very neat, but NO LAPTOP or Back pack. That is a sinking feeling.

Of course I hoped a cleaning crew or someone had turned it in and thankfully someone had. So now I have learned another good lesson (one I was supposed to have already learned) and I am now smiling. BUT like the clean car, I say I will always take care of this laptop, but that is probably a lie, again.

So here I am, with egg on my face, knowing that my stuff could have been gone and I would be crying. ……… WOW! I just thought, I have two pages of a new novel in this thing. It is a love story too; an award winning book has probably been saved….. Ha!

Thanks for coming by the log, so? How was your day?

This was the concept car, if they had went with this I bet Nader could not have gotten it killed.

I remember hubby telling about the Corvair and its potential hazards. Glad the laptop was safe and sound! Unfortunately, these days we need to carry all of our possessions with us and not leave them somewhere, too many "itchy" hands waiting to get a hold of them I fear.

my day was okay for a Monday, hoping tomorrow is a better one!

I like a clean car too but I sure ride in some filthy ones (not mine). How was my day? Well I fasted and starved and thirsted and went to the doctor to find out my appointment is today so I had to do it all over. I'm sitting here at almost three in the morning hungry and thristy. Don't you feel sorry for me?

Today's world is different than when we could
leave things anywhere. Glad you got it back.
I'm surprised somebody didn't say oh how lucky
I found me a lap top. You were lucky. Glad you started a new book. My life has been an up and down love story.

Keep the valuables safe so we want have to
cry and mess up our make-up.

MOstly it was cleaning dishes, buying a bike for the child, taking the bus to lessons, students nearly falling asleep ... everyday-ness indeed. Glad you got the computer back !
Please have a good and safe Wednesday you all.

It's such a bad feeling to lose stuff like that. Of course it's great when you get it back. I've done both - and in faraway places the feelings of grief or joy, whichever they turn out to be, are greatly enhanced. ☺ Nothing going on here today. It's been a long lazy day...spent trying to get my old binocular camera to work. Went to the web see if I could find a manual on-line as it's been ages since I last looked at the little camera. Found one, printed it out - and started to read it when I realized it was in French! Ha. No wonder it was free. I finally got it working right - but now can't find the USB cable that I must have to take advantage of the pictures! But still I am comforted at the thought that I have a good place to sleep and plenty of food for my tendency towards gluttony. ☻
