Christmas Cruise has Ended

2012 dec cruise 0902012 dec cruise 091

I missed you, I really did. But I am too cheap to pay $100 for internet. This is the Carnival Dream.

The last time we cruised with Carnival for 7 days they charged  $60 to park our car. Last week we pulled up to the parking gate, after dropping off our three bags, the sign read, “PARKING $120”.To late in the game to make other arrangements. So one more charge on the ‘card’. I had to hold Sherry or she was going to go up side the guys head.LOL. It wasn’t that bad, but she did ask “When did you start charging a fortune to park?”

The cowardly response was, “Last month”.

(There were 4 sets of elevators this is one set of four. 1 decorated in red just to the left of the Christmas tree on the 1st deck)

(We were greeted by this towel Seal on our bed)

Anyway the cruise was good. we had a balcony on the second deck. Most of the food was on deck 10. We climbed a lot of steps instead of taking the elevators. (160 steps one way)

Underway (LOOKING AFT) to the first port, Nassau.

Then the first Sunset from our balcony.

The first morning we awoke in Nassau and the site from our balcony was this flower painted ship a Norwegian Liner.

We did not leave the ship in Nassau, just stayed aboard, relaxed and walked. One of my priorities was to find the soft serve frozen yogurt. I found it on the 10th deck.  I visited it at least 1 time a day (maybe 3).

I always took a piece of fruit back to the room. Before the cruise was over I was taking cheese and crackers for a late snack, I am a snacker. We haven’t checked our weight yet. I probably gained a pound, Sherry probably lost two.

Thanks for coming by the log. It is good to be back, maybe I have turned into a land lubber.

There were a lot of these custom built 3/4 ton pickups, used as cabs in the islands.

Hi Jack and Sherry,
What a great Christmas vacation! I know you had fun. I love the pictures.

I would not have paid $100 for internet service either. Maybe I am a cheapskate, too...lol.
They had you on the parking.

Glad you had a good time and are back home safely.

Merry Christmas to Jack and Sherry,
DD

I'm so glad that you and Sherry had a good time.
The photos of you both are wonderful; I especially love the photos of Sherry! What a beautiful wife you have! I know that you two feel rested and refreshed. I'm tired thinking about you two climbing all those stairs!!
The views of your ship and your room are spectacular. You are very blessed to have enjoyed this vacation.
I'm with you! I wouldn't have gotten off the ship in Nassau either. Once one has seen it, it's the same old same old Nassau (lots for sale, and I would have enjoyed the luxury of the ship, too. Good call!)
Sending you hugs and smiles...with a great big "WELCOME HOME" wish to you both.

I guess it would have been cheaper to catch a cab to the ship instead of parking there. Ouch! on the cost.
It all looks wonderful though! Good to have you back with us in bloggerville.

If I had money, I'd buy a parking lot here in the San Diego area; they are gold mines indeed! It is amazing we actually have to pay that much money to park our car, but what can you do? They kind of "got" you because what else can you do so late in the game?

Looked like a great trip! I loved the sunset! The ship, wow! I would have had fun walking around exploring it all! I'm sure both of you did great with holding" your weight with climbing all those stairs!!

Merry Christmas Sherry and Jack!!!

(on a little blog break until after the first of the year so if you don't "see" much of me between now and then, you'll know why :)

Looks fantastic. Looks just like so much enjoyment for you both. I would have been with you on the trip to the soft serve Ice cream. I have one problem that I would have to find a way to deal with and that is, the ship was in water. I truly am that afraid of landing in water that was up up my knees. Some idiot pulled me into deep water and let go of me, long ago. His friend pulled into shallow water.
