When we have fresh fruit and some veggies hanging around, seems gnats appear. Now if they are ‘in’ the fruit, am I eating them? Were they in the sacks or boxes when we bought them? Since I only paid attention in school if it was math and numbers, I missed this stuff, now Enquiring minds want to know. WAs that covered in English or Phys ed?
Anyway it is amazing how those little dudes show up without any invitation…
This country is nice to drive around and admire. I thought I would include from pictures from the past since I am loading my system down with pictures.
Thanks for coming this way. In the morning instead of our ‘Oatmeal and Fruit’ Smoothie, we go to Dennys for an original GRAND SLAM!
Nite Shipslog
PS:
Did anyone catch Friend Lucy’s picture (from Nebraska) on my blog a couple days ago?

‘55 Ford we had one.
‘55 Plymouth, believe it or not that was a daring 2-tone at the time.

Yes, I saw Lucy!
At first I was embarrassed to admit I didn't know who she was -- then I read her comment about baby Christopher and laughed aloud. You've some of the cutest friends!
I don't think the fruit flies are in your fruit, I think they just sneak in when they smell it.
The countryside is very picturesque in those parts.
By the smile on your Face several Blogs ago I bet you are just as "Proud as a Peacock" as Dad used to say about being out and about and "On the Road again" !!!! You both look Great, just finished the antibiotics and anxious to get out and about, You 2 take care and keep on Truckin,
I am still trying to figure how an
ant smallest I have ever seen come
up 14 steps to my deck and find my
kitchen. I don't leave anything
out for them to get.
Very beautiful country side. Looks
relaxing and I bet it is not hot.
Now you have me too wondering, Jack, where gnats come from. What amazes me (not to sound too gross here) is that Koda will take care of business outside and within a minute a fly will be there. They must just be hoovering around waiting??? Such pretty country you are at! I bet you guys will enjoy the Grand Slam tomorrow; I always liked it when we went to Denny's.
betty
It's been a long time, but I do remember that Denny's Grand Slam is a good breakfast for sure. I love the pictures of the countryside there. Yes, it looks very similar to what we have here. I noticed the fields turning golden last week when I was out for a ride so I imagine with the good weather we've had this week much of it is mowed now. Rain moving in tonight there say and a big cool down for middle of next week. I had to turn the a/c back on today so I'll enjoy it when it cools down. Those fruit flies are pests for sure and hard to get rid of too.
Haven't been to Denny's in years. Enjoy it.
I don't think we have a Denny's around here any more.
And I agree where do the gnats come from?
Did you know when you go in for surgery - if one fruit fly is found in the operating room it all has to be shut down and re cleaned!!!
True.
Love Denny's Grand Slam!
And one of the many questions I'm gonna ask the Lord when I get to heaven. "Now...WHY did we need gnats on Earth?" :))
Wonderful observation about gnats.
"Very nice… I really like your blog… where do gnats come from
