Early interesting Cars:
1928 Ford New when Ann was born.
For today:We have two good friends, friends since before we were married. Sisters, Ann and Daisy, are getting enough age to be called old, Ann is 91 and Daisy is 94. Both are spry and still drive.
Once Shirley, Sherry and I went out to breakfast with them, probably Daisy’s birthday or our 'heading to Florida' breakfast. But at the get together the girls brought a doll to Shirley. It is a super cute, mischievous looking dude with a red hat.
Shirley was so proud of the dude, she took it to Walmart and Roses put it in the cart seat as she shopped. She even introduced it to the manager of Walmart.
It is named Annabelle and its little bear partner is Daisy. After Shirley passed we inherited the two.
I am the lazy one around here and normally get up last, so I make the bed. I enjoy the different positions Annabelle and Daisy can be displayed. No one else has commented on the doll, but Sherry notices. It is sort of a game. I am not a fan of EXTRA pillows, but methinks it is all the rage. For sleeping I prefer a very thin pillow.
It is more fun than just throwing a teddy up there. When you get a little old, small things make you smile!
Y’all have a great week, we are off to church. It is the church’s 100th anniversary. My dad pastored this church from 1954-65.(I pestered it from '54-56) I met the love of my life here and there are still a few folks here from that era.

Why, the "Elf on a Shelf" has nothing on Jack Darnell! Cute, cute idea. I love the thought of Shirl putting her 'babies' in the shopping cart.
Today's note to the milkman made me laugh out loud!
How cute the "game" you have with the doll to put him into different positions. I like that. How sweet Ann and Daisy are! Its going to be hard when one of them passes. The one left behind will be so devastated I fear. How cool with your church celebrating 100 years! Our church is having its first service in its new building today.

My first wife worked in Rochester, New York at a Typewriter that punched holes in those IBM cards, it was at the S E Hicok Ray Belt Company back in the early 60's. She hated that job but the money was great !!! Said she would just sit there and type as the cards automatically slid into the carriage and sped away when punched and were stacked into a box !

Love how relaxed the bears look leg over a knee...looks like you have more than two gals as friends for life. Ann and Daisy remind me of my own Mama., spry and still driving. Love it.
The milkman notes are wonderful memories of the past. love those too

I'm still driving at eighty-five just a wondering if I make it to the nineties if I will still be able to drive. Most likely I will be somewhere in a nursing home. Take care, Jean.
I like a thin pillow too. The chiropractor told me once that sleeping on no pillow is the best for natural body position. I have never liked a big fluffy pillow.
Its fun to position dolls like Daisy. I have a sock monkey . Haha
