Me and Stormy D

 Early interesting Cars:
Pontiac Club de Mer 1956, never in production.
For today:
I tried two times to move Stormy and her last kitten. Into our garage, She and the kitty had fun both times. Had food and milk and I thought they were settled but Stormy had other ideas, so she took ZERO by the neck and politely walked back to the tree stump.
So the next day I Stormy came over and stayed and stayed as I petted her. I told her that ‘puppy’ could be eaten or wandered off for a hawk to pick her up while she was basking in my affections. So I says, “Ok Stormy let’s go get Zero and bring him or her back to the ‘maternity ward’ I fixed and you didn’t use.” Again I took a small box with Stormy’s towel  and went for Zero. Zero came out when I meow’d. Stormy did not come down to the tree on the trail, but stayed at the trail entrance by the mail box.
Zero was in the box and Stormy followed me to the basement. We played on the floor for a half hour, I already had food and water there but told Stormy I would get some milk, if she waited. I really think she has recognized the word milk. As I type this it will be the second night in the maternity ward below.

The entrance (just above the cats, see the pillows) to the maternity ward. I read on the net that a Feral needed two entrances to any space they chose. So this one has two entrances. She actually walked thru it and seemed to be checking.
Zero climbs all over me now. They both were in my lap last night. Zero even found a teat and nursed while in my lap. I explained I had a girl upstairs and could not stay.
It is hard to see, but Stormy is actually hugging Zero.
The little rascal can hardly walk, but climbs all over me when I am on the floor
That bright spot is the teat that Zero had just left.
Here they are in my lap as I sit on the floor,

I once locked Stormy in the basement overnight and she could not get out and pooped on the carpet. I understood that. Now I leave barely a 2" opening at the garage door. The lady Stormy is she goes under and goes into the woods to dig a cat hole for her business.
I do hope once the kitty is weened I can get Stormy fixed. If This Kitty makes it to adult hood, it will be the only one out of 4 litters she has had that lived. Life is tough in the wild as a feral.

The Oxymoron for today:
Why do we put suits in garment bags and garments in a suitcase?

Hope Zero does survive. I think you are doing all you can to try to make it happen. It is good that Stormy is trusting you more. Keep us updated.

I do hope with your persistence, they'll both discover they've got a good home in the maternity ward. Stormy seems to have other ideas though. What fun it is to play with a kitten. They are truly joy in a basket. Praying they soon get it right. What a difference this girl has made in your life. Glad you take such good care of them.

Awe so cute! Stormy looks content on your lap. Little kittens are so fun to watch especially when there are more than one. They wrestle and cuddle and its just adorable.

Happy Friday

So cute. It's nice you will get Stormy fixed. No sense in cats just having litter after litter, it's hard on them. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
