Early Luxury Cars time forgot:
The La Salle 1927-40
For today:
Sherry has been doing a great job
getting the coach ready for our upcoming ‘Shakedown Cruise’ to happen sometime
after Thanksgiving.
Even in the limited cabinet space in
the coach, she is finding things we no longer use or need. When we started the
RV life we bought a complete set of ‘rubbermaid(?)’ temporary plastic. WE lost
gave away and replaced until there are only a couple of the original containers
left, but there is a hodgepodge of storage containers accumulated.
She is thinning it out. Taking out
duplicate cleaners etc. It is a job getting rid of 'not used stuff' and duplications from the years on the road.
The shelving paper has been
replaced, drawers straightened, floors cleaned, dash cleaned and dusted; she
has the old girl looking good, looks ready to hit the road.
I lost my sweetheart once yesterday and found her
in the coach. She said, “I am just doing a little a day, it is getting
there.” It sure is. I am getting antsy, methinks she is too. We might just go to Orlando…… or even toward
Inverness.

I've not 'really' traveled in years and years ... but a big part of the enjoyment was found in the planning and readying.
Smiling at the plastic containers. Tom has a real thing for plastic ware and hates to throw anything away. I recently went out and bought new sturdier containers and threw a bunch away ... only to discover he'd rabbited a couple pieces in a secret cache. LOL.
You two have traveling in your BLOOD!
I bet your both anxious to get on the Road, I love traveling probably because of the closeness of My Honey beside me riding or driving and the conversation, quietness, "Hum" of the tires on the road ! Enjoyed a summer's day today !
miss traveling down to Florida or Myrtle beach ! You 2 take it easy, sending down warm wishs ! Gary an Anna Mae
I clean out my plastics about twice a year. My problem is finding the matching lids.
I bet you guys are antsy! Sherry is enjoying being in the coach. It’s gonna give you a few more good trips I believe.

It is amazing how fast things can accumulate, When you don't have much space to begin with it's best to clean it out once in a while. I could do the same here. A little at a time and you get it done. Sherry was wise to take a break on the couch. Sounds like you have a good plan for the days ahead. Enjoy the trip!
