She’s Baaaaak! This is Florida!

 Early Luxury Cars Time forgot:

 The CORD, 1929-37

For today:

Just Look out our side door! She is back, she missed us, and mechanics just cannot appreciate a home on wheels like we can.

Yep she is fixed. I still have to put the rear-end body parts back on that I had taken off.  I saved about 3 hours at $95 an hour, I’m ok with that.  Also she developed some small problems due to all the shaking and vibrating she did with the fan out of balance.

Of course we are not happy with the 19+ hours @ $95 plus parts. You must trust someone, we both liked Gilbert the head mechanic.  Now we plan a short outing for a ‘Shake-Down Cruise’ (old nautical term used for the first cruise after ship yard time.).  We are thinking just a little after the boys come in to celebrate Thanksgiving.   Maybe a drive down to Peace River.

We do like having the coach this near and ready for a quick get-a-way! ;-)

BTW both cats like the coach, a great place to hide & sleep underneath (and I am sure up in the voids).

Oh, looking out the window, supper being coconut shrimp left over from Red Lobster, what is that in the road?

Outside  to get a better shot. Strange that in NC there are "Bear Jams" in the road with the black bears.  In Florida there are "Bird Jams" they wander across roads and traffic stops. I have yet to see one hit, amazing.

They are the Florida White Ibis. They will walk across roads slowly and start in a yard looking for and finding insects. They are there for awhile and instanly they are gone, they all fly as one.

Jack, I like the explanation of Shake Down Cruise. Ouch , that kind of hurt the pocketbook. But then you need to keep the RV road worthy. You and Sherry can get in that and get the heck on down the road if a hurricane gets too close. Remember a reliable mechanic is worth his weight in gold. Blessings to you and your sweet wife. xoxo, Susie

The "Ship" looks good docked at the Side door dock ready to "Cast Off" ! Bet yer glad to have some items back within reach !!! Just make sure there are no "Stowaways" up under the wheel wells or undercarriage when you take off, (Cats) !!!! Great Pictures, The Coach looks like it is where it belongs !!
Waiting to hear on how the "Shake Down Cruise" goes ! Take Care, and sending down lots of Love !! Gary an Anna Mae

I’m glad you got her back! You definitely need to take a ride. in fact, I’m surprised you two have not already spent the night in it.
Be careful of the kitties when you drive off. They love getting inside the wheels and up in the motor and tight spots.

She looks eager to head out on an adventure. Black bears would not be the best obstacle; They win what ever battle.

It's great to hear you have your wheels back! Love the Ibis photos, they appear in my yard often, so fun to watch. We've been inundated with rainstorms, looking for a few "dryout" days. Love from Chobee, Glenda

That is good news for sure. How wonderful to have your home away from home back and all the things you've been missing that are stored there too! We do have those bird jams here where I live only they are Canadian guess who happen to think they own the place.

So good to see you back and your coach. Hope you're feeling better too. The influx of birds we have are wild turkeys........we know for sure we have nearly 50 with 3 different flocks within half an hour on 3 different trail cameras in a 155 acre area. We are not fond of them. Not at all. Have a great Sunday.
loven'hugs from up north where the air is so crisp. I like it.
