Three wheel cars:
Now:
I
wanted to say something about the Air Fryer cousin Dewey gave us the last time
we passed thru Las Vegas. Dewey is somewhat of a Chef and a bachelor. He does a
lot of exotic meals, and prefers Oriental dishes. He has been enamored by
Taiwan for years. He has finally decided to move over there. When we passed
thru Vegas earlier this year he was downsizing and gave us his NICE BIG air
fryer.
I have read many praises
for this type cooker, especially from my neighbor Lisa (whom we have not met in
person yet, she lives less than 10 miles from our home base in NC, we gotta
rectify that ‘not meeting’.) I have been reluctant to give it (something new to
me) a try. So This Thanksgiving I decided to buy a small Turkey and cook it for
us and the boys just for sandwiches and snacks since we would be going out for
Thanksgiving dinner.
In
the grocery store I picked up a 5lb turkey (I THOUGHT), at the cash register
line Sherry informed me I had bought a 5lb breast of turkey vs a turkey. I ran
back to trade it, but after seeing the whole turkeys were a minimum of 10 lbs I
decided to keep the breast.
I put the 5lb’er in the Air
fryer for 56 minutes, it was perfect and delicious. I think I like this thing.
Anyone
other than Lisa use the Fryer?
THANKS
for stopping by and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving we did.

Hope you had a Great Thanksgiving, Glad the Boys were there ! We have an "Air Fryer", we use it for Frozen French Fries, Pork Chops, Chicken, and like the easy clean up and the ease of cooking with it !

I've never used one but everyone always raves about how good the food is so I might have to ask Santa for one. Jack's still in the hospital but hopefully will get out tomorrow or Sunday. I can't believe it will be Christmas soon! Take care!
Neat! I don't think ours (Ninja Foodi) is large enough to accommodate even a 5# turkey. Hope you'll keep experimenting and sharing!
Jack, I had to see my family eye doctor on Tues as apart of my follow up from cataract surgery. He was telling me it was just going to be his daughter, wife and him at the TG table. He said he asked his wife if she bought a turkey . She said she did, a 9 pounder. He said he told her, "That's not a turkey, that's a chicken!" OMG, I almost could not stop laughing. How much turkey did he want for just 3 people. LOL. Glad you like that air fryer. I do not have one but am thinking of getting one. I just worry about how easy it is to clean. I do not want to dismantle anything to wash it. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
How cool you cooked the turkey breast in the air fryer! Confession time we have both an air fryer (gift from son last year for Christmas) and an Instapot (impulsive buy on my part). Used the air fryer once and the Instapot not at all. Thinking of selling it and attempting to use the air fryer more.
betty
I don't have one, but have heard they are wonderful. Glad your turkey turned out so well. New things are worth trying out !
Wow, you went straight for the big stuff! I have never done a turkey in my air-fryer. I have the basket type and not sure one would fit in there. I love my air fryer and use it almost everyday..
Cant hold my eyes open from being worn out after work. I will be catching up on my blog readings (and posting) tomorrow.
