The hollow days

 Memorable Automobiles from The Past:

Sherry, after our one night Honeymoon! That is a 1955-56 Rambler methinks.

For today:

We have been nomads, gypsies, snowbirds for many years now. This winter has had too many ‘surprises’(coach and family) to allow for a lot of joy.  You find joy where you can, so just preparing for the parking slab gives me some peace.

I am also getting the coach ready to move. I stuck it here in the sand a couple-three weeks ago.  Now in a few days we will move so I must get it ready. So I will do a little more digging and making a solid bed to drive on. I hope next time it will be a breeze parking.

Oh I most forgot the most important thing, MY GIRL. She beats me a dominoes and scrabble, but I still find joy in just being around her and talking. She knows how to slip in those little reminders of ‘Play nice’. I guess I could blame God instead of thanking Him, but overall HE done good. I tell her, “I don’t mind being the luckiest guy in the world. He couldn’t have given me a more joyful gift. ;) .

(HE did a good job putting this girl together. This was a few years before we met. She was just waiting for me to move to town.)

You see I can say that, because I just walked back and tucked her into bed. I get some special privileges going to “All that work, tucking her in BED!” I would tell-all but her Grandkids read this and wouldn’t believe Grandma would do such things.  Just sayin’.

So for tonight, Imma go on back and READ some.

I wanted to thank you all for the ‘very good’ comments lately. U B Sweet!

PS (a):  Buddy took one of my girl friends, but he couldn't have this one!  But he did good when he got DI!

PS: From the papers of kids in a Christian School:

"Hollow Days" ... that's a good one!
I really thought by now, the Covid scare would be a bad memory. Instead, it's been replaced with a cloak of fear and insane gasoline prices. I'm afraid to ask, "What's next?"

I think I'm going to turn off the TV and give thanks to the Man upstairs for all I've got. Right here, right now.

Look at her sweet curls in that pic! She's a beauty! You did good..married up! Ha! I hope all goes well getting your RV out and on the road until that slab is done. Your cute quotes from Sunday school kiddos reminds me of my oldest son, Jack, when he was little. The kids sang a song in Church called "I'm a Child of God". The lyrics had the line, "I'm a child of God with parents kind and dear"...only Jackie always sang "kind of dear"..hmmmm
