DID YOU HEAR WHAT THE PRINCE SAID!

The Prince got into international trouble by using the term 'raghead'. That gave me a chance to show the cover I am playing with for 'Rags' the book. What do you think? (Sherry & Shirl gave their thumbs up on it.)

Today's dissertation and ramblings:

It is hard not to cast stones, even at the ones who cast stones. Does that make any sense? My life has mostly been centered around the Christian religion. In his teachings Jesus said once, “He that is without sin, cast the first stone!” No one did.
This was spurred by the publicized statement by an English Prince for something he said that was more or less private. It was picked up by a ‘fellow cadet’ and sent to the media. He said something about a ‘raghead’.

I love it when a writer or media person reports this like one of the worst possible things the Prince could have said. Then when the cameras are off them they probably joke about the actual word and use it themselves. I think we all sort of despise hypocrisy (unless it is me). HA! You cannot beat the media, no matter what you say. The Prince cannot come back and say, ‘what I say is my business’, because then the media would make it much worse. So he swallows real deep and makes an humble apology. Down deep he would like to strangle the ‘fellow cadet followed by the media folks who have nothing better to do than try to ruin his day.
I do think public figures should be held to higher standards than us mere mortals, but where do you draw the line.
Most of us think the law should go harder on a:
Politician who takes a bribe.
A policeman who steals.
A preacher/priest who takes advantage of their position.
A fireman who commits arson.
A lawyer who lies to get a conviction. And so on, and rightly so.
Somehow I think that is correct to do that, but where is the line drawn?

Anyway I think today I am closer to being back with the living. I had honey butter and biscuit for breakfast.
Thanks for coming by the log.

PS
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BUT PROBABLY DON'T

1. Money isn't made out of paper, it's made out of cotton.

2. The Declaration of Independence was written on hemp (marijuana) paper

.3. The dot over the letter 'i' is called a 'tittle'.

4. A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top.

5. Susan Lucci is the daughter of Phyllis Diller.
The president/queen/ prince have to watch what they say, but some wise ass can do this:

Hello Mr. Jack,

Glad to see that you are feeling better and I think the media takes this "Political Corretness" thing a bit to far. They report things like that because the really don't know what news is anymore or maybe it's because we have too much of the good stuff! if you know what I mean. I would like to met a person who has not uttered a word like that!

God Bless

Randy

First I think the book cover is a winner. Now
I'm glad you are feeling better. What would the media report when they are standing around. I would hate for them to be around and hear some of the words I call people. No cursing just funny names. I have a few. Dr. Horsely wife said she just wish you were here to make a speach at her book club. She is taking the one I gave her to let them see it. I told her you would be home maybe April or May and you had
another one in the making. She seem so impressed that you could tell it was about Belmont. She is funny and very nice. She has
invited me to her party 2/7/09 for her 80th Birthday. They say her home is beautiful.

One more comment she said maybe "Tuck" was kin to her. She said I may say he is. They were a lot of Children because her Great grandfather was married 3 times. The name "Tucker".

that is an awesome cover for Rags!! I like it; it has my vote of approval

I think all of us should be held the same for our actions; God calls a sin a sin, right? no matter if it is a little white lie or a murder, it is still a sin. I do know those in authority are held more accountable for their "charges". Its sad that those in the public eye are held with so much scrutiny; makes you feel so sorry for them; there is nothing they can ever do that normal people can do to let their hair down so to speak without it getting reported

loved your breakfast; sounded delicious

I knew number five and was surprised when I read that. I used to take a lunch break everyday and watch "All My Children". Your cover is great. I like it.

The cover for Rags is lookin' great! Two thumbs up along with all my fingers and toes!

I saw a headline about the Prince being in trouble but I didn't read it so I didn't know what he said. Sheesh, ya can't say anything anymore without offending someone it seems.

I'm glad you're feeling better and getting over feeling sickly. Don't send it up this way we don't want it, lots of crud going around.

Yay!!! welcome back to the ranks of the not perfect but no need to complain!
I do think those folk you mention should hold themselves to higher standards. or why else to they think they deserve to have a higher position.
I think as parents we watch our words and behavior or else we are hypocrites.nuff said. lol

Wikipedia says that Susan Lucci as Phyllis's daughter is an urban legend. Course they are not always right. Love the cover of Rags. Lindie
