the seventeenth of January.

Well it is that day, the BIG 70! Now I know to folks like Lucy that AIN’T NO BIGGIE, but to you kids that is OOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDD! Well If my skin wasn’t so loose, my hair was not gone and I could hear, I wouldn’t notice. Hahahaah!.
But then again, it beats the alternatives. I am glad to be here.
When I was a kid soda crackers came the size of a slice of bread scored into four crackers. Grandma could make me p-nut butter crackers the size of a sandwich. Mama always broke them into four and made two peanut butter crackers out of one. Pepsi’s were a nickel and movies ( when I could sneek off) were nine cents in Albemarle and ten cents in Valdese. Pop corn was a dime but Cracker Jacks were a nickel. I just got this, some smart a—sent:

No one expects you to run-------anywhere

There is nothing left to learn the hard way.

Things you buy now won't wear out.

You can eat supper at 4 PM

You can no longer think of speed limits as a challenge

You sing along with elevator music

Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.

Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.

Your supply of brain cells is finally down the manageable size.

You can't remember who sent you this list and you notice these are all in big
print for your convenience.

Forward this to every one you can remember right now.

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the
same night,

This is Shirl your sister remember..............Signed with Love

I got the above from someone claiming to be my sister. LOL

To everyone who reads this I am his loving sister. Can you imagine being around this boy for 70 years. He will remember later on this afternoon when the brain warms up. I am the sister that you said was delivered by a Turkey not a Stork.

Right on all counts, Jack. The day after my 79th Birthday I told Joe I did not know one day would make my knees pop louder. I remember those big soda cracker snadwiches. with peanut butter. T never cared for bread so mom made me cracker sandwiches to take to lunch aND i LOVED PEANUT BUTTER. Still do but Joe doesn't care for it and it gets rancid before I use it all. Can't buy those little jars any more. I was a sick bundle in a afghan in my chair all day yesterday. I may make it through the day today.

Happy Birthday!
Sorry I missed it. was off celebrating with my grandson.
i remember those crackers and we made pnut butter and jelly sandwhiches with them. sometimes we melted cheese on them.
our kids missed a lot of good stuff. you would be surprised how many comments i read on youtube from the younger generation saying they missed out on hearing those great music groups in concert . they also missed out on the free drugs and free love they say.
lol i dont think they missed much there.I was too busy being a wife and mother . but i watched on t.v. lol
