I read a headline on AOL that said ‘How celebs are spending the holidays!”
Do you care? I don’t. It never ceases to amaze me the people who are interested in the intimate lives of celebrities. There is nothing wrong with it, I am sure, I just don’t get the reason for it. Most of the time I don’t care what the next door neighbor plans for the holidays. And I won’t know, unless they need someone to feed the birds, dogs or cats. Or they want me to collect the paper and mail.
People have different hobbies I guess and one is people watching. I do people watch if I am in a busy store waiting for someone or just resting while someone else shops. At an Airport I people watch. Once I saw two famous wrestlers, or at least Ben and Reece said they were famous so they got their autographs.
I saw one of my favorite actors, Anthony Quinn, in the Key west Airport, No I did not ask for his autograph (and there were only five of us there). I also saw Lou Rawls and company, in the Atlanta Airport as he boarded a plane to take a seat that I was mine for two minutes. (I was flying standby). Never did get a flight, but my bags were on the plane. I went in with three soldiers who were headed for Chicago and we rented a car and drove to the Chicago Airport to get our Sea bags.
I do smile when I see boys with their pants down around their knees and say that cannot be comfortable. When you are my age comfort is what counts.
I smile and sometimes feel sad for someone who has tattoos all over themselves, especially their face. Of course that is none of my affair, it is a fad. I am glad it was not around when I was young. Duck tails and peg pants were fads in my younger years. I had one and I pegged my pants, I was cool!!!! I even did a flat top for awhile.
So now it is a fad to have a BLOG so here I am, enjoying it, thanks for coming this way my cyber friends.

PS:
The three most common expressions (or famous last words) in military aviation are:'Did you feel that?' 'What's that noise?' and'Oh S...!'

I met the man who wrote "There Will Always Be Honky Tonks In Texas". Would that be considered important? lol
I always wonder how those characters run with their pants hanging down around their knees.
L met a few famous people got one autograph Buddy Hackett. Tiny Tim was boarding a plane and Jim said can I get your autograph for my wife. HAHA Paul Harvey was most interesting. George Gobel Jack Benny. Mory Amsterdam gave me the rest of his chips and said play them he had to run board a plane. Just trying to keep up with my
brother.

Yep, I wish I had met someone important, I just see 'em! Not counting Sherry that is.
The song is probably right too, huh?
I've never even come close to meeting any celebrities but my family and friends are the best folk I'd ever want to know anyway. I had one of those hair cuts as a teen too. Guys weren't the only ones that wore them, however we wore skirts and bobby socks not pegged leg pants.
Funny post. I like your philosophy about the neighbors for the most part. Doesn't concern me what they are doing or planning unless they ask for my help. Of course if they were having noisy drunken parties I might get concerned quickly. On the celebs...I saw Jerry Springer in the airport in Johannesburg once - and I hoped no one else would know him (unfortunately they did). Also was on a plane with T.D. Jakes once. He's one of my fav preachers and very popular both here and in Africa. Eddy Arnold (country singer) yodeled for Frances once in the Nashville, TN airport. And your sayings from the aviation world reminded me, my heroine, the one who taught me to fly, celebrated her 101st birthday last month. She still manages the airport at Morristown, TN...has more time in the cockpit than anyone else. (More than 57,000 hours.) She is living proof of the plaque that hung in the classroom while I was taking lessons. "Flying will never be safe as long as you have to drive to the airport!" She lost a leg in a car accident 3 years ago while driving to the airport for work. Before that she took students up practically every day of her life.
Jack, just had to come back and say a sincere thanks for all the kind words on my blog page. I take much pleasure in reading your's. Today I preached a funeral for an 85 year old friend of Mom's. She took it pretty hard...maybe because it reminds us of our own humanity. Again, thanks.
The only celeb I ever met was a fella who wrote a novel called "Rags", another "S'GAR". Heck of a nice fella by the name of Jack Darnell, do ya knowum? Other than that, I, too, could give a care about the goings on of all the celebs. Living one life is challenging enough. You take care now, young man and your Young lady! Just so ya know, I would have at least flirted with Anthony Quinn...glad you did not, however. Great entry as well as the one prior that I finally got to read and comment.
