Working. Today everything came out of the new Studio Efficiency. Time to lay the carpet and do the wood trim work, base board and door/window trim.
First the window/door trim. I call it installing the 442 casing. That was the description when I was building. You can see it around the window beside my bald head.
Then the carpet, I just sold my Knee kicker on Crags list for $45, never going to need it again. So I stretched the carpet the old fashioned way with nails driven at an angle then bent toward the wall, it works on small areas like this.
This is the betchen (Bedroom/Kitchen). My dad was a firm believer in sweating. He was sure that was washing your body from the inside out!
Last in this room, installing the base board. Fortunately I still had a small nail gun that makes the job MUCH faster and easier.
(She took this picture of me using the window sill to help myself up)
Sherry says no one ever sees me working so she took pictures for this ‘ME’ feature. Notice the outlets are 4 feet high, makes the electrical cords all visible, but makes them easy for old folk to plug and un-plug. When I first started building, we had the outlets down at the base board, and they climbed to about 16”, over the years.
Tomorrow Sherry will paint the bathroom, I will reinstall Shelves. Hang the cheap accordion door at the closet and possibly pick up a kitchen cabinet.
I am still trying to catch up on blogs, but the system is STILL AS SLOW AS ‘CREAM RISING ON BUTTERMILK’, as my mama would say.
Thanks for the visit.

Thank you Sherry for taking pictures. It's nice to see how you're doing. LOOKS great. Don't forget to show us the finished results when you finally get to them.
That's why you stay so skinny, Jack, you are always working and sweating it out! I'm sure the finished project will look great!
betty
So glad Sherry took those photos.
You are a hard worker, Jack.
Great idea to put the electrical plugs higher!
I'd like to thank Sherry for the pictures too. What a nice little place you will have there when you finish up. With the heat and humidity we've been having here lately, I can only imagine you did a lot of sweating. I know it's hotter there than it is here. Hope you both are remembering to drink plenty . It's cooler here this morning and I'm appreciating the break and have turned off the a/c. but I don't think it will be for long.
thank you Sherry for taking pics! this is a huge project!
Brother you be working to hard
time to rest. The betchen looks good. I know you love to keep busy but I worry about you working to hard. Work, Work, Work, it is never done. Tell Sherry to take it easy
going to be hot today..90's.
Impressive progress, you're working out those aches & pains. It really looks great and I love the outlets placement, terrific idea!
You always amaze me with your talents!
It seems like you can tackle anything and everything.
So proud of you!
Hugs to my favorite couple!
You will not be doing that if you live to be 84. The joints scream. I had a huge mess last night on this computer. I am just going to beat these keys till it quits. It is hot again here. How are Sherry and Shirl holding up. I know how hard they must work.
That was good of Sherry to get some pics. Maybe you can get some of her painting tomorrow.
Hope you had a nice cold glass of tea (or lemonade-that's my favorite) when you were done or maybe some cold watermelon.
How did I miss this post? Always interested in what you two are up to. Yes as someone said get some pictures of Sherry painting. Or maybe you already have.
Good photos! You two are hard working folks and I always enjoy the stories. I wish you the best on the new living space.
You have been busy as a beaver! Sherry as well! It is all looking great! Thanks Sherry for taking pictures for him to share. My girls are in your neck of the woods this weekend...Charlotte for Heroes Con. Comic book artists and writers gathered together. Take it easy and don't overdue, Sheila
