My steady date said, YOu need to get in the woods, you can't seem to stay out of trouble. So you can see how happy I am to climb the Rattle River trail. My steady on the other hand looks happy, we will see!

RAttle River, beautiful stream, we walked beside it of a little over three miles today to see how the ladies feet would hold up.

More rocks in the river.

This is a puzzle. to the right off the trail was a beautifully built bridge. New lumber and steel beams. Me puzzles? What in the name of common sense is a perfectly good bridge doing here over the Rattle river with weeds on both ends (Could it be they don't know about the lawn cutting law? Note ot myself:Shut up!). Then it dawns on me later, this ain't Alabama or North Carolina, this is for winter time, snow mobiles and cross country skiing. It just looks funny and useless in the summer. Ha on me!

This was Sherry's objective, the RAttle River Shelter. The hiker opposite Sherry is reading the Shelter Journal, entries of thoughts of hikers who have stopped by.

I just love water falls. I took so many photos, this is one I squeezed between trees.

Ran into this guy, name is Cruiser. A forest Service person's dog. Just checking the area for repairs needed.

Just a bunch of silly girls (who are pretty tough out here.) They came to slide down the water falls on RAttle River. This is lunch time.

My girl crossing a small stream that feeds the Rattle River.

The underside of the bridge to nowhere!

"OH, THIS IS COLD!" Can you hear it? She yelled pretty loud. My girl is soaking her feet.

This is the most white birches out of one stump area. Six or seven.

After the hike we had to go intot town to mailo out some books. On the way back we ran into this guy. Trail name 'Trigger' He has hiked over 1800 miles this year. He was in town to resotck with food and get a real meal. We picked him up and drove him back to the trail. Nice kid from Oklahoma.
Our day, and I am in the clear. Mama's feet seem to be good.
Thanks for stopping by the Log.

PS:
A man is recovering from surgery when the surgical nurse appears and asks him how he is feeling.
'I'm O. K. but I didn't like the four letter-words the doctor used in surgery,' he answered.
'What did he say,' asked the nurse.
'Oops!'

Would you like for me to call code inforcement
about the grass at Rattler River Trail. You will get into trouble. Beautiful pictures. Glad Sherry's feet back in shape. The rocks
will do a number on them. Three miles is a long
walk on that terrain. Maybe the walk on the
trail will clear your mind and keep you out of
trouble.

love ya Shirl

Walked myself today as well. Accompanied by my son it was much fun, as he likes to pick up small stones, bringing them home.
Still am very impressed by the nature you are able to enjoy.

Hi Sherry and Jack! Oh Sherry that water did look cold, but I bet it was really soothing!!! You both look really great, no head nets? That's a bonus!

I wondered what that sound was I heard...now I know. I hope it didn't numb her feet too much. I love waterfalls too. Maybe Sherry won't have any more trouble with her feet. Shirl is sending up the lawn mower so you can take care of those weeds at the bridge...ha. Take care, Sheila

We will have to start a fund drive to pay for the lawn mowers to get there and cut the grass.
It may be about $l,500 or get a $100.00 fine.
Hurry and get out of the area and maybe this to
will pass.
