Early Spring I suggested this plan. WE go to Mexico for dental work. From there go see my friend in New Mexico, my cousin in Las Vegas, YOUR GREAT GRAND daughter and my Grandson in UTAH. Hey since we have this money from the sale of our land, why not fly the kids out to meet us and visit the Utah-ians. So the seed was planted. the group grew to 11 for the flight out and back.
Now it has all been done, I think the visitors had a good time. We got to see Carol (former DIL)and her mom and dad. We also got to see Elsie Mae Sherry’s G-Grand daughter. Another plum was Ashley, Ben’s girlfriend. She is very sweet. (and pretty).
Very late breakfast at the Star Café in Clearfield, then toward the Salt lake City International Air Port to turn in the rental vans and the crew check in for their return flight and seats selection.Hugs and kisses, and they are off beyond the veil of TSA.
And of course, we MUST clown around.. Stephen and Ben!
What a wonderful time to see Ben and his brothers interact. To see the Great Grand daughters holding hands and playing together. To see my Grandsons in love, one engaged, sharing this ‘mini-vacation’ and making memories that will last long after Grandpa and Grandma are gone.
Another thing that is hard to face, two sons who are grandpa’s. Seeing them both with their grand daughters was fun.
LIFE IS GOOD. We may appear to be wealthy, but actually in money we aren’t. HOWEVER in family, caring and love, I guess we are wealthy beyond measure. Shucks, we even have Grandkids who are grown that we are proud of.
Ben and his beautiful girlfriend Ashley.
These guys dance to no music on the streets of SLC.
Ben and Carol led out thru a canyon. Beautiful landscapes:
I love rugged terrain and this is. Note the silver caravan. Every vehicle was silver.
Ben coming to check on the girls and get them out to see the lake.
Our crew out by a mountain lake three hours before the flight.
It is hard to describe the beauty of these mountains.
Okay. Now we fuel up the rentals. head to the Airport, good byes are said. This was an adventure for us all.
Nite Shipslog
PS:Now an hour into the flight back to NC, we miss seeing them already!!!
Is modern technology great or what? this is Sherece and Stella at 30,000’ headed to NC sent from the plane.

Jack and Sherry, you are truly "Wealthy" when it comes to the love of family and friends!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful family pics, and I see you too have "Hilarious Kids" in your family also lol!
Enjoy your travels and time spent with loved ones!
You are rich beyond measure. You enjoy the love of your family.
Jack, you are incredible...your closing comments are all about Sherry's kiss! It's a wonderful thing that you two have had such bliss along the way and that you could pass it along and were able to make more family memories in Utah.
Those kids will make it to NC and they will look back on this past weekend as a wonderful--probably life changing event, thanks to you two--and the same goes for the Utah family. What a wonderful thing.
I think the real value in life is are family. I mean that. And YOU my friend are RICH! I enjoyed your photos and your family very much. sandie
What a wonderful family you have. You are blessed for sure. I know somebody who had that exact same turquoise car.
Looks like everybody had a good time. Like Steve and Ben new faces. Remember when we gave Mother a look she would say "your face may freeze like that".
I know the Utah people enjoyed
the visit. Looks like Stella did
well on her first flight.
Memories were made that they will
remember...very good.
Bet you two felt a pang of lonliness after the family were gone. Where all are you going next?
I think it you are wealthy with the kind of riches money can't buy. I loved seeing you all together and am glad the opportunity came so you could do it. I'm like you and consider family to be a blessing too.
Hey Rich Man, You have it all, there is no doubt. What a memory you helped to stamp in your family's minds forever. When you talk about Sherry being a great kisser, I can't help but remember my Dad saying that about Mama. they never missed a day, either.
Now, the kids must go so they can come back. Thanks for taking the rest of us along...what a fabulous summer vacation.
Life IS good, good as God
Fabulous, Jack!
