One thing you hate to do is start a trip by doing something stupid. Like backing your motor home into your tow car.
I’m backing up and the neighbor is beating on the side of my motor home. “YOU HIT YOUR CAR!”
IT ISN’T BAD ENOUGH YOU BANG UP YOUR NEW CAR, But someone has to YELL it loud enough to draw a crowd. LOL It is embarrassing but I can handle it with a laugh. I had to say, “That is the first time that has happened, it usually hitches its own self when I do that!”
But we got on the road. It was warm in Vegas so we got out of town.
If you are an Easterner, one of the things you start noticing as you drive West and Soutwest is that towns STOP and desert or open space begins. East, there are houses service stations, etc to break up the land scape. Here it is the beautiful landscape. You notice the colors of the hills.
East we see double trucks, here they pull three trailers at times as below. And Plateaus show up.
I took 70+ pictures because of all the formations and beautiful l-scapes we saw.
At times they decorate the walls and overpasses in NV. I liked that We are about to enter Arizona again for a little while but first we must have a golf course in the desert, and another casino.
I actually forgot we hit the corner of Arizona again before getting to Utah.
Arizona and more desert land BUT……….
I-15 is one of the most beautifully rugged drives as it weaves its way through “THE VIRGIN RIVER GORGE”
Pictures never do real life justice. You must see the intricate color changes in the rocks, the deep drops to the side, and majestic walls rising 500 feet.
The land scape changes to the reds and greys as we enter the State of UTAH…..
We see the scrubs and colors of the desert for awhile…
Of course we get to laugh at the irony of a sign, Browse, but ‘no services’ available. What’s to browse?
But we start seeing Trees instead of scrubs. We see GREEN valleys where the farmers have made it bloom.
Valley after valley of this. Cattle grazing and bales already cut and stored.
That is Nephi ahead on the left. Where we stopped and took on About 76 gals of diesel @ $3.83 (They are giving it away!)
We are at An RV park for the night. We took a good walk, it is very comfortable for the first time since we started the trip. Nice short sleeve weather.
Nite Shipslog
PS:
I do love the mountains out here. They are more barren than back east, but they have their own beauty.

This beauty passed us on Monday
It caught me off guard and I didn’t see the grill, but I am guessing 1946 (up to ‘48) for convertible.

The scenery there is quite lovely. The roads there look pretty good too. Glad you got to where there is cooler weather. It's still hot here close to or above 90 this week. I continue to stay in a lot.
Looks like lot of flat Country
and a smooth ride. Like the beautiful car on the back of the
truck. Glad you are having some
cooler weather. We are in the 90's.
Looks like Vegas has changed a lot
since I was there. Stay cool, safe and intouch.
Nice travel pics.
Maybe the "Browse" sign is for the deer: trees ahead for browsing.

Chuckled over the BROWSE sign. Beautiful countryside all around you.
You sure are getting to see all of God's country - and a lot of it still untouched. There is a lot of land left isn't there? I guess unusable. But it sure is pretty. sandie
Love how you began, giving us a chuckle ... at your own expense. Ouch!
These pix are breathtaking, Jack ... but wait, you're going the wrong direction. We're down here, just a little ways South ... lol!
Hugs from Phoenix!

Hey I'm liking this vacation. I let you do the worrying. I don't think you two worry and that is good. I think I'm the way I am because I grew up in a family who never went anywhere.
hee hee...
«Louis» hopes that you've backed into the Honda twice now - FIRST time AND LAST - both at the same time!
The Ford is a '48. The '46s had two bars of chrome below the license plate frame and none above it.
Very pretty landscapes. As you said the various colors of the rock is beautiful. Sorry about your car. I would be embarased also. Can't spell that. No wonder you 2 enjoy your travels.
