I told you I was sick!

You probably have heard that joke, or statement that  B.P. Roberts had put on their head stone.

Sick

A couple days ago my nose started running, and I cannot catch it.  It is driving me nuts. I drank a bottle of something for allergies and slowed it down.  Then in the medicine cabinet I found some little pills that said for sneezing and runny nose ALLERGY RELIEF. With a warning, “Take only one in a 24 hr period” It worked, but after 14 hours, there it was again.

Of course I am like most folk, that warning is not for me, So I took another. I didn’t feel sick, I took my temp and I was the same as most animals, maybe a little less. I said to my Sherry, “I must be sick, remember when you bury me, I said I was sick.”

“Well I hope it isn’t this week,” she said.

“Me too,” I said, “I don’t feel like attending a funeral with my nose running.”  Besides they haven’t finished my head stone yet.  This is the design:

Jack in a box

Boot Hill in Deadwood, Dodge City and Tombstone had some interesting headstones:

Speaking of headstones, many have made headlines such as these:

just resting my eyeslet me outreally sick

I guess I am not ready for the ground, in reality, as I said a couple entries ago, One never knows.

I think the pill makes my head feel funny but it does stop my ‘sore’ nose from running.

Thanks for listening to my tale of woe!

And then the worst:

Feel better soon. Our tombstone has a tree and a fence with a deer jumping over the fence.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling like a crispy critter!
Both Tom and I went through that last month ... I didn't think it was possible for one nose to produce so much 'junk.' This, too, shall pass m'friend.

'Have to admit, your first picture (Jack in a Box) made me gasp a little. Ms. Gloria's tombstone about 'just resting her eyes' may well have been engraved on my own mother's resting place.

You may be "sick" but you're still funny!!! Most likely allergies ~ our trees and blooms are different, hoping you feel better soon!

Feel better soon! I think the change of seasons always do produce a sickness or two. Cute tombstones :)

Well they do say laughter is the best medicine and you had me laughing at some of those pictures. I'm not sick and know I cannot catch whatever it is you have through the internet so that's a good thing. Hope the nose dries up soon and you feel better. Chicken soup is supposed to be good for what ails you too.

I heard a funny joke. A nephew tries to make a doctors appointment for a sick uncle. The doc says, I'm familiar with his case. He's not really sick he just thinks he is.
A few weeks later the doc sees the nephew on the sidewalk and asks about the uncle. Nephew says he's worse, now he thinks he's dead.
