Beauty

 Beauty

The Most Beautiful Old and new Cars:

                             Delahaye

                 The Alpha Romeo

For today:

I remember one of the first books I read was written by Anna Sewell about 1877, called Black Beauty. The horse on the cover was indeed beautiful to me.

I always enjoyed my dad and mama’s stories of horses and mules. But of course that was the main farm power and way of travel for mama and daddy until their marriage.

Mama commented that Dad’s mules were beautiful, WHAT?

(Mules from the net)

My first ever dog was Ace, solid black and to me he was beautiful.

Lots of things are pretty, some cute, but in reality the oft quoted statement is true, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!” That quote has been around since before Christ, but it first appeared in English print in the book Molly Bawn, 1878.

That simply means, beauty is an opinion. Now some folks will fight for the superiority of their opinion.

I only brought this up because I was going to speak of the most beautiful fowl/animal I have ever seen. Then I realized some of you think your ‘furry friend(s)’ is beautiful. LOL Some people think this guy is, but he is only cute! LOL

As I have said here before mama was taking sister Shirl and me to a hospital for a visit, it happened to be in a hospital for the mentally insane. (Different name now) As we walked by a window over behind a fence a lady called out to mama, “You then them little devils are cute, but they ain’t!”

WE woke up to this one on our campsite table in Florida:

He jumped off the table strutting the showed off! Even after this, I still think old ACE was the most beautiful.....

So, let me ask, In your opinion, “What is the most BEAUTIFUL animal/fowl you have ever seen or pictured?”

As you say, beauty is an opinion. I knew a girl who just loved shoes. Most women do. But she had many of them. Different shapes and colours. She loved chocolates too. For her birthday I bought her a pair of shoes made of chocolate.

She never spoke to me again!

God bless.

I try to always see the beauty in everything. Nature is amazing and for me to pick just one beautiful animal would be impossible. They are all beauties in their own right. Love the picurres you have shown. Yes they are all beautiful. Hope you are enjoying a Happy Good Friday there. It's still cold but not snowing like it was yesterday, the sun is shinning and it is a beautiful sight !

I always said, "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder" !! I think my most Memorable sight of an Animal was in Florida when I saw my First Real live Alligator, this would have been in the mid 60's. I was amazed at the size, color, feet, tail and teeth. My other most Memorable Animal is a Horse, I will go out of my way to visit a Mounted Horse Police Officer, Majestic Animals and Impressive. Hope it's a Good Friday and you an Sherry have a Great Easter Weekend, Blessings from Gary an Anna Mae !

I remember reading that book (Black Beauty)! At the summer camp I attended in Colorado, one of the horses was named Black Beauty -- and every girl wanted to be chosen to ride him.
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was my 'heart' dog, Caraleigh. Don't get me wrong. I'm besotted by Macie and Grace, but I'd give anything to hold her once more.

PS - Isn't it curious how we remember unkind remarks from so long ago? Sure, she was 'unwell in the head' but it still left an impression.

Oh my, I would say sunrise and sunsets are two of my favorites, but that peacock with the wonderful feathers spread is also breathtaking. I have a vase full of the tailfeathers that I've had at least 20 years...love them. Thanks for the memories! Hugs from Chobee, Glenda

To see the human heart beating is truly an amazingly beautiful thing.
